Hmm.. The brain + a ripple in flash instantly gave me shudders of NGE all over again. Hopefully, I am so dead wrong.

Anyone have a translation of the text? There's 70% of something but that's all I can tell /images/graemlins/sweat200.gif

There's a surprise /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif

Night Head was a hit TV drama by Joji Iida, who later went on to direct the Ring TV series and Rasen; he also directed Sci-Fi Harry and, amusingly, the near-mythical Tokyo Babylon live action film! It was later adapted into a shoujo manga that ran for about 7 volumes in Asuka. It seems reasonable to presume that this is a slightly re-titled anime spinoff from this series; Iida has already written books and made a sequel series, so I guess he's milking the success for all that it's worth...

The Flash teaser basically says that human beings don't use 70% of their brains, and that there could be mysterious powers hidden inside there if only we knew how to unlock them (hence the EXPLODING BRAIN!!! at the end). The story, from what I've Googled up and vaguely remember from a friend of mine who bought the manga "because it has bishies on the front" *le sigh*, is about two brothers with psychic powers who escape from a hospital ward and go on the run; Angst and Hijinks ensue.

I can't tell you if it's any good or not; I've never read or seen any of this, although if the dorama was popular enough for a sequel it can't be THAT bad, I'd presume.

I had a chance to check out the first 2 episodes this past weekend. To me, this is definitely the most intriging show of the summer season. I love the creepy atmosphere of it.

As BluWacky has stated, it is about 2 brothers with powers. The older one having a telekenetic ability, the younger being able to see into people's minds when he touches someone, and somehow people around him can see what he sees as well. I'll try to type up a summary later (unless someone beats me). I think what I like most about this one is that it's presented in a more realistic way than most series of this type (mostly). Definitely worth checking out...

I just watched the first two episodes. I don't think that 70% is a correct number, I read somewhere that is more like we only use 10% of our brain.

Anyway, the first episode deals with two brothers that start developing psychic powers. the older brother has telekinesis and the younger one when touched by people can see their past and project it to other people. They start developing their powers and causing all kind of troubles at school and in town. One night their father put sleeping pills in their melon soda and give them some cake. The younger brother suspected something but he still took it.

Their parents decided to give their children up to a group of researchers because they couldn't handle them, before they were taken the mother changed her mind, but the father stopped her. The older brother woke up and saw his mother trying to get them back and asking them to forgive her. He started breaking things before one of the people taking him put him to sleep with gas. When they woke up, they were sleeping in some beds, the older brother woke up first and found the place where all the researchers were eating. He started trashing the place, before he could harm anyone the younger brother showed up. The older brother tells the younger brother that they were abandoned. The director of the place shows up and tells them the this place is their home now, and that they are their family. the older brother throws the director against a wall and they try to run away. They reached a forest with a lot of strange trees with some kind of markings and when they try to pass they are repelled by some kind of barrier.

the second episode takes place 15 year after the first one.
The brothers finally escape and they stop by a road restaurant after they get a flat tire. They get some one to go and fix the tire for them. While sitting some guy with an attitude comes out of the badroom. The guy has some kind of problem with all the people in the place, and eventually gets in a fight with the older brother. The older brother warns him not to mess with him by bending a fork and a spoon. The guy still don't care and is going to punch the older brother, the younger tells him not to use his power and the older brother gets knocked out. The guy had touch the younger brother before and everyone saw a past image of how the guy used to be mistreated by his mother. I guy comes with the idea that the younger brother has the power of seeing the past. The guy that was fighting the older brother tells his girlfriend to touch the boy. When she does everyone see the girl screwing everyone that was in the restaurant /images/graemlins/happy.gif(She was prostituing herself all over town). she gets slapped by her boyfriend and the guy pick a chair to hit the younger brother, but he stopped by the older brother. Everyone start bleeding from the nose. BEfore he can do some serious damage the younger brother stops him.

the show shows some promise.
