I'm using a Fragmented (http://crash.inweb.dk/) wall (not a direct link) from Disgea. This is my "Easter Bunny" pic.

Somehow, ever since I've made my way to a 1600x1200 LCD I've really started to dislike vector trace wallpapers. They just seem so barren and devoid of detail. The joy of high-res is to see lots of detail in the image.

Considering there's no high quality scans/images of this series as far as I know, I had to make due.

And a 1600x1200 LCD? Awesome. I can never go back to CRTs.

I'll play along. It's a shame the wallpaper threads don't get any posters anymore, but I quit posting too so it's time to be part of the solution again. /images/graemlins/happy.gif

[ Here (http://spe.midco.net/tyrellgoetz/wallpapers/askray01.jpg) ] is what's on the main monitor right now. I'm not usually a fan of Ask Ray stuff (those who are familiar with him understand why), but when he's good enough to produce an art piece that doesn't involve indecent content it's stunningly beautiful like this one. The image isn't cropped either, that's pretty much the whole thing. I just tweaked it down a bit to produce a wallpaper friendly size and ratio. Be warned this image is almost 2 MB for those with slower connections. I don't like jpeg compression artifacts. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

[ Here (http://spe.midco.net/tyrellgoetz/wallpapers/179.jpg) ] is what's on the secondary monitor right now. It's 1024x768 so don't let the way it fades into the white background fool you. I like simple stuff like this that shows a character against a plain backdrop like this for my 2nd monitor. I had to tweak this into a wallpaper of course since the original character art wasn't this size or shape. /images/graemlins/happy.gif

That doesn't seem like the official artwork for the game/series...... It's Murakami Suigun if I'm not mistaken.

I think sharing mobile walls is a great idea that people might take interest in. At least for those lucky enough to have phones that aren't locked down that is. /images/graemlins/happy.gif

Right now I have Haruhi Suzumiya (http://spe.midco.net/tyrellgoetz/wallpapers/haruhi4.jpg) on my phone. It is the correct resolution for my phone, and is 1:1 pixel mapped for the screen on the Motorola RAZR V3c at 176x220. If anybody else has the same phone it will map perfectly to their screen. I've made nearly a hundred walls for this phone is if anybody would like some just PM me. /images/graemlins/happy.gif

I made a thread some time ago about wallpaper for the cell phones (kind of disapeared into oblivion). I also have a Motorola RAZR and I can do a file transfer between my phone and PC (desktop and laptop) via a USB cable and a program called Motorola Phone Tools.

I think that people who has the Verizon version of the Motorola RAZR can't do a file transfer that way (the feature was disabled for what I've heard). I think you either have to email it to your phone or use the phone itself to download it off the net (for a small fee, of course).

I will repost the few that I have when I get the chance.

Actually, Verizon customers can transfer using exactly the method you mention if they have a phone with the .02 firmware version and not the .03 firmware. Verizon patched the phone up so nobody could put their own stuff on it with .03, though you can roll the firmware back if you know how. We found it fantastically easy to transfer stuff via the Bluetooth link on .02 firmware phones as well. /images/graemlins/happy.gif

Can I ask you, have you noticed that if you try to display an image on the RAZR with very saturated color (especially reds) it appears to break up the image wherever there's a diagonal line? It looks like severe pixelization where groups of 4 or 8 pixels have been averaged into one big ugly pixel block. I'm currently remaking almost half my images to try and avoid this problem.

People tell me that, since I've never attemted to do any file transfer with Bluetooth.

I don't think I ever had such problems like that. Which software are you using to convert these picture? I tried using the Image Studio on the Motorola Phone Tools to prepare (crop, scale) a picture, I get some awful results.

So, I use a freeware called "IrfanView" to do all of that, and then use the File Transfer Studio part of Phone Tools to transfer the image over to my phone.

These are the pictures that I've done, so far (some came from existing wallpapers and others, I've just found the images on the net and did a little bit of cropping and scaling):

Belldandy (http://ourworld.cs.com/Danny%20Perales/CellphoneWallpaper/BellCell.jpg)

Kiddy Grade (http://ourworld.cs.com/Danny%20Perales/CellphoneWallpaper/KGCell.jpg)

And here's an image (http://ourworld.cs.com/Danny%20Perales/CellphoneWallpaper/Cute02.gif) that I'm curently using as my cell phone wallpaper (it's static if used as a wallpaper), and as my phone screensaver (it's animated in that mode).

And here is picture 1 (http://ourworld.cs.com/Danny%20Perales/CellphoneWallpaper/XMas001Cell.gif) , and 2 (http://ourworld.cs.com/Danny%20Perales/CellphoneWallpaper/XMas02cell.gif) , and a Card Captor Sakura (http://ourworld.cs.com/Danny%20Perales/CellphoneWallpaper/CCSCell.jpg) pictures that I've used during the Christmas season.

There are a few more pictures that I have that I want to do, but I haven't done anything with it yet.

I'm trying to create some sort of Anime themes for this phone, like "Sailor Moon", for instance: I already made an mp3 ringtone of "Tuxedo Karmen" theme on my phone so far using the Melody Studio part of Phone Tools. But I'm still looking for some decent Sailor Moon images that I can use. The same with "Tiny Snow Fairy Sugar", and I already made a ringtone for that as well.

I make and edit all of my wallpaper stuff in Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8. Minimum compression since I hate mosquito noise from jpeg, with 2x1x1 chroma sub-sampling to reduce filesize. They look flawless on my computer, if oversaturated. I do it on purpose because the color on the phone screen is weaker. Only on the phone does this problem manifest itself. I think the display system on the phone reacts badly to very high color saturation beyond a certain point. I don't know why though.
