During my trip to Japan early this month, I saw what looked like the first episode of a new show that intrigued me. But I haven't been able to find a name or info on it since getting back. Can anyone help identify it?
It had a teenage girl with long straight hair and straight bangs (kind of like the girl from Moonphase, but with dark blue/black hair).
It seemed like she was moving to Tokyo (shows her arrivign at the train station, lookign around and I believe starting at shool) and met a boy she knew a long time ago (I know, a bit similar to many shows).
Any ideas?

What time did it air? The most likely show I can think of is Nana (http://www.ntv.co.jp/nana/) since the first episode has a train ride to Tokyo and meeting a boy from the past; I can't think of any other shows that are new this season that would fit the bill.

Nope, not Nana. I think it was a late night airing.

Nana does air late at night, for whatever it's worth.
Your description of the girl immediately made me think of Jigoku Shoujo, but that can't be right.

THAT'S IT!
Thanks. Keep in mind, my description was based on not being able to understand the dialog. /images/graemlins/happy.gif /images/graemlins/happy.gif

LOL. She was a seiyuu... well a wannabe seiyuu who was trying out. You should have mentioned her screaming really loudly multiple times during the episode or that she had a bunny attached to her cell phone. Those would have been dead give aways. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif
Anyway your description was misleading since you said:

I think you meant to say without blue/black hair.

Well, dark gray hair, then. /images/graemlins/happy.gif
Yeah, I was recalling from memory and obviously got some details mixed up. Maybe with some other shows I saw during my two weeks there.
I should take pictures of the screen the next time some unknown anime catches my eye.
