Well the 2006 Anime Diva Open seems to have gotten off to a slow start with lower then expected turnout. Yet undeterred the tourney press on.
In the first day of the Yokohama Eastern Regional tourney in the city of Nagoya many wonder if this field is too light on headliners and uber popular characters. Some have questioned the selection commitee on placing so many supporting characters in one sub region. Is Najica vs Kuriko the main contest? Or will one of the other ladies emerge? Is anyone in this sub region a threat to make it to the Toyko finals?
In the other tourney of the Fukuoka Southern Regional many came to see the clash of the hot tempered red heads Lina vs Asuka. Knowing both girls competitive spirit and vicious natures this could be one a classic. Of course some are saying Pacifia shouldn't be forgotten, especially when many view her getting a first round bye pairing off against Seto. Are the odds makers overlooking the rest of the bracket? Or is Lina, Asuka, or Pacifia legitment contenters to the crown?
Well thats all for now, but if you have any quesitons or comments please post here.

The toughest race for me was Kanuka versus Spoor. Ultimately, I had to go with the Admiral.
Lina vs. Asuka should be interesting: battle of the obnoxious destructive redheads.
And Kaname needs to stay in the contest so we have the possibility of dueling Kaname Chidoris.

Back again for another report on the 2006 Anime Diva Open. As many battles end today of the first round.
In the Nagoya Sub Region is seems many of the girls have already claimed themselves victorious. For at least some this might just be a way to prepare for lost. Consider the egos involved like in Aizawa Miyabi of GTO vs Yohko Yamamoto of Starship Girl, this might be understandable. Yet will the loser be shattered and the winner overconfindate?
The Kitakyushu Sub Region is still ablaze from many of the contests running there. Cat calls and cat fights are breaking out as these games have come close to be out of control! Even the most orderly of the games Sir Integra Wingates Hellsing of Hellsing vs Hakufu Sonsaku of Ikki Tousen turned out rowdy. Integra stratigic mind has to deal the gunho fighting attitude of Hakufu. Making it even worse is Hakufu fromable skills to back her up. Can Intera deal with yet another powerful loose cannon?
Well its looks to be a fight to the finish for all the contest ending today, so remember to vote to decide who moves one.

I'd never say that /images/graemlins/wink.gif. And in real life I vote purely on principal whether I actually think it "matters" or not. This is all in fun though, and all it takes is just for me to simply sit in front of a computer screen and click on the mouse which is actually a pretty effortless thing to do.

I wonder how Chimp is going to handle this. We have a tie in this match:
Hiragi Najica, Najica Blitz Tactics - 12 50%
Kazetsubaki Kuriko, Maburaho - 12 50%
I'm glad to see Mami won. /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif I'm sorry to see Hakufu and Seto lose so early.

Kuriko tied with Najica?!?! How could that happen? I guess Kuriko is more of a diva than I thought.

He already has tie breaker threads going for both tied matches. (Voted for Kuriko and Nanami Jinnai in those matches)

I'm going to have to assume that Seto's loss is due to people being unfamiliar with her character, and the unpopularity of the series she appears in.

Or maybe people don't know who Najica is so they just vote for who they know.

I can sort of see how and why Kanuka lost to Spoor, but still, "Grarrr."
