Anime Human Chess Match – Year 3 – Encore Performance Announced
METROCON 4: Florida's Largest Anime Convention
June 2-4, 2006
TAMPA BAY, FL, April 19, 2006 – The Anime Human Chess Match debuted at METROCON in 2004 and has taken the anime community by storm, with similar events staged at anime conventions around the nation. This live event is a unique fusion of renaissance fair combat chess and a scripted cosplay involving anime characters from multiple shows.
Over 1200 people attended the match last year and this event has proven so popular that, due to space limitations, not everyone has had the chance to see it live. To this end, METROCON is pleased to announce that there will be TWO (2) full performances during the convention weekend. One performance will be on Saturday, June 3 and the second one on the next day, Sunday, June 4. This will hopefully ensure that everyone who wants to see the fun live can do so.
