Announced at the OG Matsuri: an actual, honest-to-god Super Robot Wars Original Generation TV anime!

Director: Hiroyuki Kakudou (Digimon Adventure, Transformers Galaxy Force)
CG Advisor / Special Director: Ichirou Itano (Macross Zero, Megazone 23)
Series Composition: Takanobu Terada (Producer for SRWOG)
Animation Production: OLM

Set for release in fall 2006. According to Moonphase, Ryuusei and the SRX team will be the main characters, and apparently Shuu is also going to get a lot of facetime.

This is going to be AWESOME. The OVAs were a little disappointing, but this is going to rock.

I wonder if they'll be covering the story of the first game, or something new?

Either way, I can't wait for this. /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif

Good grief, between this, the launch of Eureka Seven Gothicmade and Mediablasters licensing rampage I wonder how much more we're going to have to look forward too this year.

Hmmm. Itano is an amazing animator, but OLM? These are the people who are currently underwhelming Nippon Ichi fans everywhere with Disgaea; I'd be loathe to trust them with another gaming adaptation unless they get a decent budget (they mostly do Pokemon stuff, with a side-helping this season of Utawarerumono and Ray).

Great news, i always believed that 3 OVA eps weren't fair or good enough for such show /images/graemlins/happy.gif hopefully they'll include more events from the SRW games /images/graemlins/happy.gif

Now i just that:

1) They bring all the original seiyuu from the game like they did in the OVA and not decide to cut down costs or something like that.

2) More of Psybuster and the Lord of the Elements characters and mecha /images/graemlins/catgirl0.gif

3) Both the OVA and the TV gets licensed by a good R1 company.
