2006 Anime Diva Open: Final 2nd RD Nagoya, Kitakyushu, Kyoto, & Saitama Sub Regions

Monkey Biz is proud to present the second day of the 2006 Anime Diva Open: Road To Tokyo.

In this thread we have eight contests spread across four sub regions. The 2nd round will last three days.

Note the 2006 Anime Diva Open is looking to crown the anime lady most epitomizes the essence of a diva. Whether it’s the classic idea of supreme female entertainer, strong independent willed woman or even an outlandish bold girl.

Well well from Nagoya we start the second rounds of the Yokohama Eastern Regional (http://home.comcast.net/~ape2020/Diva/Yokohama_Eastern_Regional.pdf) tourney.

Our first matchup pits a Gal verse an admiral. Which one is more outragiously diva then the other?

Then its a battle of magic user verse starship pilot. Will Kuriko be stronger after barelly surviving a tough face off battle?

In the south the Fukuoka Southern Regional (http://home.comcast.net/~ape2020/Diva/Fukuoka_Southern_Regional.pdf) tourney in Kitakyushu city kicks off the second round with pair of exciting games.

First off is the black magic sorcerer verses the martial arts master. Redhead vs burnette, which of these short tempered underdevoloped girls will prevail?

Next up is a battle of mature verse youth and displine verse exsuburance. Will either of the girls strong preformances in the first round transfer over to this game?

In the later games Osaka Western Regional (http://home.comcast.net/~ape2020/Diva/Osaka_Western_Regional.pdf) tourney in the former ancient capital of Kyoto the second round is heating up.

Game one pits a star princess against a rock star of two very strong independant women. Both dominated in their first game, so who will bring their a game tonight.

The next game pits two tourney favorites in the ultamate prima donna vs the ultamate classic preformer. Who will more epitomize the spirit of divahood?

As the dust settles on the first round of the Sapporo Northern Regional (http://home.comcast.net/~ape2020/Diva/Sapporo_Northern_Regional.pdf) tourney the second round looks to be just as wild.

Game one features the only man in the tourney (blame dunno) up against a sailor scout. Can flair and intense diva attitude overcome short shirts and the obivous female bias?

Game two is a clash of winners by the slimmist of margins. One winning by one vote and the other going through a face off and still only winning by one vote! Which one of these tourney survivors will win out this time?

This is probably the single toughest match of this group: they are both the epitome of divahood. I'll go with Nanami, who I believe is THE diva of anime.

Well, Sumire had the unfair advantage of being an actual stage actor/actress. My thinking was that "hey, she's actually a diva in the series so I think I should vote for her".

Well Nanami might have been a ultra diva in the Prima Donna facet, but she went up against someone who is not only a Prima Donna but a classic Diva as a very talented female performer. Sorta complete package verse a one dimentional brat. I know I voted for Sumire myself.

While I am disappointed to see Nanami Kiryuu lose, it is at least gratifying that she lost to someone worthy.

And now I can support Princess Aeka in the next round with no absoluely no reservations.
