Press release is on the news page. I think this is Toonami's answer to Adult Swim Fix. Starting July 17th, Toonami Jetstream will stream anime like Naruto, Hikaru no Go, MAR, Prince of Tennis and CN's own Samurai Jack, online. IGPX, Zoids Genesis and Megaman NT Warrior will come later down the pike.

I hope this means that they plan on putting PoT out on DVD sometime in the near future. I want those chibi episodes. /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif

Interesting, I wonder if this will lead to all three of the previously unavailable series being on Toonami this fall. I have DSL, so I will at least try to download them. I wonder if there will be uncut and have commercials in them.

Interesting idea, but I've *never* had a good experience with streaming video. Even with my new computer, when NBC was streaming the remaining episodes of "Book of Daniel", there were ungodly long pauses for buffering every couple sentences, sometimes the picture was upside down, sometimes it was GREEN, and then you'd go to the forum and it would be full of other people having the same problems. Sigh.

Awesome!
I've been having a good time with Adult Swim Fix, no annoying bumpers and adverts. /images/graemlins/happy.gif
(watches Home Movies and Sealab 2021 regularly)

If everyone was having problems with NBC's videos, it could just be that NBC can't encode right or they used an obscure/bad codec or something. There's many different ways to make streaming video files. Have you tried the Adult Swim streaming videos and encountered problems? I'd imagine that CN would use the same encodes for the Toonami downloads as they use for Adult Swim's downloads, so if AS's videos work for you, then Toonami's should too.

Question, when did Viz announce they had the rights to Prince of Tennis?
(I am not a fan of the series, but I could have sworn I never heard of this till now.)

Hopefully this won't end up like the Starblazers thing they did in 2001.
