However, this coupon seems to be better than any of the other "$$$ off coupons" that have been offered over the past 2 years........and its use is not even limited to only GA members.

I had preorders on my mind when I wrote that.
For a preorder, if you don't go much over the $111, you can get about 32% off of SRP. But, for items which have been released the total discount is only about 19%, still not nearly as good as a Geneon sale.
But still not bad.

I've gotten several complaints on it myself as well. They're very nice, but unless you're a die-hard Trigun fan, they're probably not worth the double-dip. AFAIK, the big differences with the Collector's Boxes are that they returned the original openings to the episodes (each opening contained a couple of stills from that episode, instead of using the same pictures from episode one), English and JP 5.1 sound, new covers, and very nice packaging (each set of discs comes in a tin, and each comes with a tschotchke -- bullet necklace for Box #1, keychain for Box #2).

I asked around and did some research and in the end I decided that the improvements for these tins were good enough to warrant a double dip. In every case that I can remember the sale lasts until midnight at the end of the date given. That would be 24 hours from now.
Besides, it is not even the third yet in Iowa.

Perhaps your cart was cleared for some other reason. That has never happened to me, but it has to a lot of other people.
If you try again you might be able to get what you want.

Don't browse the tRSI in separate tabs or windows of the same browser. It clears your cart (and possibly your to-buy-later).

If I might suggest...
I've found a much easier and better way to do my shopping at TRSI that avoids the whole cart problem...
As I put stuff in my cart every couple of items, I click the Save For Later button...
Then after I've got every thing I want I go back and click the Move To Cart button...
And then if I want a Daily Deal I go get it last...
And in doing it this way the cart I checkout with is never older than 5 minutes, making it nigh impossible to disappear on me...!!!
And I can use as many windows/tabs as I feel like using...
And by saving the items I can even continue my shopping at another time...
And I can also make sure I click on Chris's link here before checking out...!!!

If I might suggest...

I never thought that was a problem....as the main design usually draws attention away from it.

I own 2 of their courier bags......one for use solely at anime conventions (it's great to hold programs/schedules/camera/snacks/drinks etc....as well as small stuff picked up in the Dealer's room) and another for general use when travelling.

The latter came in very handy while in LA last weekend as I used it as a 2nd carry-on/personal item to free up some space in my other bags for additional stuff that I was bringing back east......instead of simply packing it in my roll-aboard like it was on the flights out to CA.
