I don't know how many people are watching this, or even know it's been on, but I just finished watching the last story arc and it seriously rocked!
For those who don't know, the entire series is broken into three "horror tales", each designed with a completely different animation style. The last one was rendered similar in style to Gankutsuou only easier on (my) eyes. It got me thinking about other series with very unique animation styles like Gankutsuou or Requiem from the Darkness, Dead Leaves, etc....
It's a shame I've only found two bloggers covering this show. But I thought the last arc of Ayakashi was the best of the three tales. It's also got a really funky OP.
