Hey all,
I'm really paying close attention to the LE release of Geneon Entertainments' Kamichu! The question is...

Is it any good?
I thoroughly enjoy comedy, drama, and romance (action too).

And what is a wooden-o-sleeve that's included with the box?
Thanks,
Azumangaman

Maybe this thread (http://forums.animeondvd.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=recommend&Number=1299174&F orum=f18&Words=kamichu&Searchpage=0&Limit=25&Main= 1299174&Search=true&where=sub&Name=&daterange=1&ne werval=1&newertype=y&olderval=&oldertype=&bodyprev =#Post1299174) will help.

I already have the Kamichu! volume 1 LE on order from Right Stuf.

It's a lighthearted drama/comedy, and one of the best anime I've seen in a long time.

Kamichu! translates to "middle school god" and is about a shy young middle school girl who overnight becomes, well, a god. Its a "slice of life" show set in a modern Japan but one where the fantastic - myths and spirits and amazing things - are rather commonplace, if not mundane. The show is cute, sweet, charming and funny and follows the day-to-day lives of the newly minted goddess and her friends as they enjoy school life and try and come to terms with the privileges and responsibilities of being a god. I particularly enjoyed the matter-of-fact way the fantastic lives within the common everyday world we all know. The show isn't laugh-a-minute funny but if you're not immediately charmed by it, your shoes are probably too tight.

It's one of the very few shows of the last couple of seasons that the creators have really put their heart, soul and mind into. It's warm, fuzzy, imaginative, fantastic and beautiful. If you're tired of all the fanservice shows and generic designs of things like ToHeart2, give Kamichu a try.
