Fukuda directing? /images/graemlins/cry00000.gif
That means only one - half of the movie will consist of countless flashbacks and reused series footage. Not too thrilled about that. /images/graemlins/icon_rolleyes.gif

speaking of flashbacks, the first tv special for GSD aired some time ago, it went up to the rebirth of the Freedom and was ok, as far as GSD goes

In other words, the best part of the series. >_>
(Well, except the whole Freedom bit.)

This is the "important announcement" ("juudai happyou") concerning Gundam SEED mentioned last week in Japan.

Well considering how close Gundam Seed is shadowing UC Gundam, this might be G Seed Char's CounterAttack...or maybe Shin's CounterAttack /images/graemlins/tongue.gif (I just seen the 1st 5 eps of G Seed Destiny, So I don't know if Shin made it alive)
but by the love of God, please don't use recycled footage!!!!! /images/graemlins/icon_rolleyes.gif

given that the tv specials are all recap save for some new scenes <athrun showering again> so any movie would have to be it's own story. or else they are telling the destiny story three times <once was enough unless it means more lacus moments>
i always thought they should do a season of short storys about the minor character you can play as in the seed games

Except for how you know it isn't.
(not denying that Seed paralleled the original gundam for its first 2/3, but the last third or so, and all of Destiny? No.)

Stellar and Destroy reminded me quite a bit of Four and Pyscho from Zeta. Thats about it, though.

* Shin has a "Kamille" vibe (if we set up Kira and Athrun as Amuro/Char archetypes) with a bend (Kamille got to a point that he admired Amuro & Char, and Shin will go in the oposite direction)
* Amuro/Kira was out of the picture early in the series as the spotlight was shone on Athrun/Char
The parallels are there, I'm not saying GSeed Destiny is a Copy of Zeta, just that it parallels Zeta in certain things, just as G Seed did with First Gundam althought G Seed has more of a overt homage IMHO YMMV /images/graemlins/catgirl0.gif

I know mecha shows are filled to the brim with stock footage but that basically transformation, launch or link up seqs but in Gundam Seed is so blatant (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?r=2&q=blatant), the animators were so lazy that they did battle sequences with money shots and recycled footage, that didn't happen in the old days... /images/graemlins/stunned1.gif

well, in the old days you will see stock footage in the sequences, sometimes a little, sometimes a lot, not the entire seq done with recycled stuff /images/graemlins/stunned1.gif
but at least they didn't pull a Spiral Zone on us (making full episodes using footage from other eps and changing the dialogue/soundtrack)

Concerning Tanaka Rie as the female warlock in the online PC game Granado Espada, a few weeks ago Japanese fans posted - in a number of threads on various anime and game boards - at 2ch (http://www.2ch.net/) links to the following screenshots of the female warlock: 1 (http://kuma.250free.com/TanakaRieCharacter/FemaleWarlock_GranadoEspada_01.jpg) 2 (http://kuma.250free.com/TanakaRieCharacter/FemaleWarlock_GranadoEspada_02.jpg) 3 (http://kuma.250free.com/TanakaRieCharacter/FemaleWarlock_GranadoEspada_03.jpg) 4. (http://kuma.250free.com/TanakaRieCharacter/FemaleWarlock_GranadoEspada_04.jpg)
Over a month ago, this 4Gamer.net (http://www.4gamer.net/news.php?url=/news/history/2006.04/20060404212032detail.html) article on Granado Espada, written in Japanese and dated April 4, 2006, announced the main cast for the Japanese version of the South Korean MMORPG Granado Espada from Hanbit Ubiquitous Entertainment Inc. Ragnarok Online creator Kim Hak Kyu produces Granado Espada.
According to the 4Gamer.net article, the main cast for the Japanese version of Granado Espada is:
Okiayu Ryoutarou (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=Okiayu+Ryoutarou) as Wizard (Man)
Tanaka Rie (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=Tanaka+Rie) as Warlock (Woman)
Nogawa Sakura (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=Nogawa+Sakura) as Fighter (Woman)
Their names are also written out in roomaji: "Okiayu Ryotaro"; "Tanaka Rie"; and "Sakura Nogawa."
Regarding the 4Gamer.net article, pictured at the mike in the left photo is Okiayu Ryoutarou; pictured at the mike in the right photo is Nogawa Sakura.
This China.com (http://game.china.com/zh_cn/onlinegame/overseas/11011442/20060405/13222435.html) article on Granado Espada, written in simplified Chinese and dated April 5, 2006, seems to be based on the 4Gamer.net article.
Pictured atop the China.com article, at the mike in a trademark pose, is Tanaka Rie.
Judging by her fan mail, Tanaka Rie appears to have many fans in China. This may explain why China.com used her photo in their article on Granado Espada.

It's cool if the movie is something completly new not a recap or so since Seed is one of the best AE Gundam so far for me. Being a UC Gundam fan i surly wouldn't if they would release Cross Bone Gundam after the characters and story appeald to many super/real robot fans in the latest Gundam games and in SRW Alpha 2.
