My brother wants to find Fullmetal Alchemist vol. 1 w/ tin box (and OST1), but since this is now really OOP it's almost impossible to find, FMA being as popular as it is. He checked eBay but wasn't having luck. I've searched Google and Froogle, BizRate, alot of normal stores (even checked the price comparison feature on www.dvdaficionado.com (http://www.dvdaficionado.com) and the only site with it listed is DVDEmpire, and they haven't gotten more in in ages), and even checked Amazon's new and used, but the cheapest was a ridiculous, whopping $190. So I'm pretty much out of luck. Can anyone give me a hand?

Seriously... this is like, the third thread in the last 30 days about it. /images/graemlins/relief1.gif
Look a few pages back. This thread is redundant.

Try looking back to here (http://forums.animeondvd.com/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Number=1322714),here (http://forums.animeondvd.com/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Number=1318211), and here. (http://forums.animeondvd.com/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Number=1309873)
This has apparently been the million dollar question lately.

I didn't really see anything in those threads. The best I can find is that Amazon.ca has it. They do ship outside Canada, right? And though this is a stupid question, how do I know how much that would cost in US $?

www.xe.com (http://www.xe.com) is your friend. If you want to know the shipping cost, why not go through the checkout process to see for sure? It's going to vary based on your location, and you can get the shipping price without actually placing the order.

amazon.ca thinks they can get stock in, odds are looking good that they can't. I'll post if my order actually ships.
Prices on ebay have been falling as more sellers are attracted out of the woodwork by the possibility of high prices. The last 6 sales I tracked in May went for $91, $81, $71, $90, $107.50 and $142.99 (all in US$, most recent first).
Edit: added 3 more sales

It's been 7 weeks since I placed my amazon.ca order and they've let me know that they've extended the ship dates an additional 4-6 weeks.

Fullmetal Alchemist Box Set 1 (http://www.zstore.com/Detail.bok?no=2769)
Here's the link to some "slightly dented" ones from the Z Store. I picked mine up there a few weeks ago. I like my stuff in really good condition, but the price was so good on it considering most everywhere else it's sold out that I had to buy it. When I got it, there was barely anything wrong with it. So "slightly dented" was an overstatement. I recommend getting it from Funimation for less than $30 rather than on eBay for like $75 or whatever it's going for now. Hurry up though cuz there are only 15 left in stock.
Totally worth it

I ordered the FMA Tin just now and it DOES ship to Canada-for 9.98(or 9.99). It's absolutley worth it-I'm now going to cancel that silly 50 dollar order at Amazon!

Well, it looks like people jumped on that Z Store offer. I mean really, you can't beat it. Especially since the tins aren't really damaged.
