5-10-06 (2:22PM EDT)---- Deprived Fans Throw TV Tokyo Bone & Threat Letter
On May 8th TV Tokyo's Tokyo, Minato Ward Headquarters alledgedly recieved a package and letter of protest regarding a recent programming change. The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department is examining it, believing this to be a case of malignant mischief. The package contained a human-like bone. According to the included letter, the sender was not able to record an anime episode because of the pre-empting of the "World Table Tennis 2006" special broadcast on April 26, the coverage of which was extended for 30 minutes beyond schedule.

Okay, I know TX sucks and all, but this is just making Japanese otaku look bad... which in turn is fucking things up for the rest of the world of fans. Heh, more (read: negative) otaku evalution will probably ensue due to stupid shit like this. /images/graemlins/relief1.gif

Yeah, way to go overboard... /images/graemlins/stunned1.gif
when I used to record or watch anything that got pre-empted by some sport or news event, I just(and most ppl would) grin and bear it, and hope for a later repeat... /images/graemlins/shy10000.gif /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif

I'm not supporting what this person did, but they do have a point you know. Just look at what all the pre-empting did to Futurama over here. /images/graemlins/cry00000.gif You can't just let them get away with this sort of thing without protest! /images/graemlins/depresse.gif

This the a time when crappy TV rules the world so it's really not surprising in the least. /images/graemlins/stunned0.gif What's sad is theres worse stuff out there than table tennis I know I can think of quite a few off the top of my head.
I didn't know ping pong was that popular heh. That reminds of when Fox used to have NFL games on, and they ran late. Me, being a devoute NFL fan, I'd rather watch the game heh.
This always seems to happen to my local news heh.
