I'm sorry, my searching here always bombs. I can never find anything. My question is, I have watched vol 1-6 of the R1's, I thought it was going to be a 26 episode series. Turns out I was way wrong, by like 80 episodes. It seems funi has only released 6 vols, if they keep doing 4 eps per it should be about 24 vols. Can anyone tell me how many there will be and the release schedule?

I believe that it is slated for 24 volumes. As for the release schedule, I assume they'll keep going at about the same pace as they have been in the past. If you buy the second box, you'll get both volumes 7 & 8 with it.

They announced a while ago that it would be 26 volumes, with the disc counts for the boxes being 6/7/6/7.

So, at 1 every 2 months, does that mean it's going to be another 3 years before it's completely released?

I believe Funimation's release schedule has been accelerated to about 1 disc per month.
