All of that sounds quite cool - I'm looking forward to seeing who gets invited for next year. The event was quite awesome this time around, and the minions a lot more friendly and helpful then in years past.

Tekkoshocon is looking for enthusiastic fans to run their own panel! Do you consider yourself an expert in any aspect of Japanese anime, manga, or culture? Why not share your knowledge in a panel? Lead panelists get one hour of time to talk about their favorite subject, and their registration costs are fully refunded! And for those who want to share "how-to's" of hands-on activities, workshops are still available. Share your fandom today!

Email lindsey.wagner@tekkoshocon.com or chris.dalton@tekkoshocon.com with your completed panel form, found here: http://www.tekkoshocon.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7036

Tekkoshocon V is drawing ever closer, and the Publications department still needs fanart to use on badges, program books, and other printed media. Again, our theme is giant robots, and pictures of our mascots Hagane and Miyako in theme-appropriate settings would be greatly appreciated.

The deadline for submissions is Feburary 28th. Submissions should be at least 300dpi, though we prefer it if it was higher. Send all submissions to publications@tekkoshocon.com, and we will sort it and use it as we see fit. Furthermore, make sure that your name is included, as you will be given credit in the program book for any submissions. Thank you very much in advance!

An Extra Credit:

Well this event was initially started by someone else on animemusicvideos.org and he was unable to complete it so now its a part of the amv department.

Basic jist.... you guys have seen AMV Hell right? It basically is a bunch of generally strange and or amusing amv clips that are typically somewhat short. Average ballpark is 15-30 seconds with some being longer and others shorter. Probably the longest entry so far is near a minute.

So anybody who has a vid idea that would not work as a 3 min song, go ahead and do it.

Submission requirements and submission are going to be the same as that listed on the amv rules page.

No restriction on how many you may enter in this case. Go nuts if you want.
