Over at Animeigo's (http://www.animeigo.com/home.t) website, there is a big clearance on every DVD they have (excluding the OMG Collectors Edition).
Kimagure 5.98 Each (OVA'S TOO)
YUA 9.98 Each
Uresei Yatsura! All 9.98 each (includes OVA'S and Movies!)
AND MORE!
Right now I have all of Kimagure and Uresei Yatsura movies 3-6 (in my cart) for just 139 bucks!
Burn to whoever told me that this wouldn't happen!
EDIT: FIXED LINK

Thanks for the tip. I might have to spend some money there.
But there does seem to be a problem with the link.
Try this. (http://www.animeigo.com/home.t)

Picked up Kimagure Orange Road TV, OVAs, Movie and Crusher Joe and Arcadia My youth. Im glad now that I wasnt too tempted by the righstuf deal on KOR. Also would have jumped on Youre Under Arrest and Urusei Yatsura if they had been the same price as KOR. 10 bucks a pop was too much for me to swallow.

If UY wasn't so long I would buy it... when they were halfway through releasing it I made the decision to not get it... in order for me to change my mind it would have to be even cheaper than this. /images/graemlins/sweat200.gif

What in the world is in the water all these online stores are drinking?! All these sales at once are liable to kill poor otaku like me. /images/graemlins/cry00000.gif
First Right Stuf gets me with the ADV sale. Then the Funi sale. Then some awesome weekly sale items. Then DVD Planet's Geneon sale. Now Animeigo wants me to buy stuff (and I likely will...).
And the DDD sale is likely to start in a week or two!?!?! Someone save me please. /images/graemlins/catgirl0.gif

Yep, saw this last night--perfect opportunity to finish off my UY set (will wait on the last set, however). I just hate that I had bought 31 & 32 already, I couldn't justify getting the boxset because I already had that /images/graemlins/sad.gif
I keep on hoping they're going to sell some boxes individually someday so that my whole collection can have boxes.

Damn so tempting!
I have the first four UY boxsets but there's still so much more UY!
I could get UY volumes 21-45 OVA's 1-6 and Movies 1-5 for just 360 bucks "LOL"
I know that's cheap but ouch that's still alot of moola
In reality I think I'll pick up the OVA's, the Movies, and Vampire Princess Miyu volume 2 (I have volume 1), Riding Bean, and AD Police files.
That's still almost 140 bucks! I'll have to figure out a way to collect the T.V. series somehow eventually. /images/graemlins/depresse.gif

Right now, it's all of Kimagure and Movie 1 (the OVA covers are far too sketchy for a 13 year old /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif) movies 3-6 (the free movie box too), UY OVA Boxset and Otaku No Video for...
187.52 AND FREE SHIPPING!!
Also, is Kimagure Orange Road appropriate for me (for me= no or very little nudity, as little fanservice as possible because fanservice isn't my style). The price is fantastic, and I really don't want to say no...
EDIT: Ok, well it seems free shipping is only to the US, but when I try to ship to Canada, it says NOT AVAILABLE! What's going on here?
Those are damn good prices on the KOR Movie and OVAs. 3 DVDs for under $18 with free shipping.
I bought the box set for $32-ish during the last DDD 20% off sale, and I thought it was a damn good price /images/graemlins/shy00000.gif

Great... almost $310 for more UY, and I'm STILL not done buying it! But now all that's left are TV vols 46-50! I'm liking this $10/disk thing...
(And I did pass on the free UPS 2nd day... I don't trust UPS to touch anything.)

I dunno, but it's annoying. If free shipping can't be extended to Canada, then fine, whatever, it's not like I'm not used to that. But why keep me in the dark about shipping charges until after I place the order?

Diggin into my head, I DO remember something like this. For payment I just chose something like Give Credit Card Number over the phone, clicked "next page" and the order was placed. I then replied on my confirmation telling them to cancel the order. BANG! You find out the shipping and then make a real order...Yes, it's that difficult!

I'll volunteer, but you have to shoot me quick after I do you in. If this sale is still active as of 6/8/06 I am dead meat. I held off on the rest of UY hoping to get this $10/per deal again, but I didn't expect it to hit right after I got hit with THREE big purchases from other sales. Although it looks like I'm going to blow off the DDD 20% sale this time; I'm going to be just wiped out. Well, my anime budget, not me, but DAMN! /images/graemlins/cry00000.gif
Edit: Oh well. Still active. /images/graemlins/cry00000.gif I picked up A!MG, KOR, and finished UY too. What kind of packaging does the KOR Ova/Movie boxset come in? Does it contain the same individual DVD cases, packaging, inserts as the regular releases?
If an set comes in a box, I usually defer to that if it contains the same release as the original (ie no thinpack)..

Well, this finally caused me to get the UY Movies and OVAs (already have the VHS and resisted the DVDs... until now).
Same deal with the KOR DVDs... Have the VHS tapes, but just didn't make the leap (partly was money available when they were first released on DVD and also the OP/ED fiasco, thankfully these should be the corrected discs (or I'll be pissed)).
I'm still waiting for them to license Yawara so Robert can die before it's finished. /images/graemlins/happy.gif

I called Animeigo a while ago. THen plan to run the sale to the end of the month, however they said it could be stopped whenever they want to. You should be safe, as I have two more purchases planned this month. If you are concerned of it stopping, I say compile a quick purchase.

I emailed Animeigo regarding their boxes and it seems that they sell direct to consumers and very few retail location stock them. I read the review for the KOR boxset on AOD and they reported it was shipped in a box that just had enough room for the box itself and got easily damaged during shipping..
I'm eying the remaining Uresei Yatsura boxsets they have and was wondering if they improved their packaging policy since the KOR boxset..
BTW: does anyone have any pictures of the KOR box? I haven't been collecting anime for very long and can't imagine a box that would hold 12 individual volumes. It must have been a huge sucker..
Thanks

Wow... so the biggest DVD box of my life came in today. At first I thought it was my DDD package, as I never got a shipping confirmation from AnimEigo, and I was all, "So what the hell did I order!?"
I'm pretty happy with the condition in which my UY and KOR DVDs arrived, except for the fact that an inordinate number of the UY discs are floaters. I can't really be bothered to spot-check all of them, and I've never had a floater that I couldn't play after some careful cleaning. I just hope my luck holds out.
I also got a duplicate set of UY volumes 26 through 30. I have everything else I was supposed to have gotten, so I'm not really sure what to do about it. /images/graemlins/sweat000.gif

I also had a crazy number of UY floaters last time I got a bunch from DDD. Basically, every keep case that was really old and shitty had a floater. I really don't like that, but luckily they all played, and now they're all exchanged for m-locks.

Sure, after my order ships, they have the OVA?movie boxsets available for a good price and have boxes for the tv discs. I'll have to see if I can snag one of the boxes.
AnimEigo's posted details on getting KOR boxes on their website (all bolding copied from the site):
[ QUOTE ]
# If you want the complete set of KOR TV DVDs (1-12), you can order the box set. There is no guarantee you will get one. If we have one left, we stick the 12 DVDs into it, and you get it. If we run out, you just get the 12 DVDs. The price is the same either way.
# If you've already bought KOR, but don't have the box and you want it, then order at least 12 other individual (non-box set) DVDs plus the “Kimagure Orange Road TV DVD Box Set (Box Only)” item, and we'll pop your DVDs into the box for shipping. Again, there is no guarantee you'll get a box. You cannot make your order contingent on getting a box set; if you don't want the DVDs by themselves, don't order them. The box set is just a bonus that you might get if you are lucky. We won't be surprised if they're all gone in a single day. Tomorrow morning we may have orders for 2 or 3 times as many box sets as we actually have. . .
# Because the KOR Movie/OVA Box set is factory-sealed with the DVDs in it, you can't get just the box. Sorry!
[/ QUOTE ]
AE also confirms that both the TV series and OVA/Movie license are about to expire:
[ QUOTE ]
June 14th, 2006: Kimagure Orange Road going out of print
We are saddened to announce that our license to Kimagure Orange Road will soon expire, and so the title will be going out of print. The TV series license expires at the end of July, and the Movie/OVA license expires in the middle of August. If you want to get this title, you should order it as soon as possible using the “Summer of Savings” - we expect that our stock of many of the DVDs will be exhausted before the title goes out of print.

Thanks
Chloe
06-15-2006, 12:14 AM
Most likely. I'm not sure if they did have such a booklet but if they did it is most likely gone the way of the dodo.
Just a small heads up here; I did my order last thursday, everything seemed ok when I placed my order, but I never got the confirmation e-mail they said would be sent. So I sent off an e-mail, didn't get a reply for the last couple days, and I ended up calling their 800 number to check on it. Turns out I had put ',com' instead of '.com' in my e-mail address, and somehow my whole order had gotten dumped into their trash bin. While it's nice to know it killed my CC info in the process, I could have missed the sale if I had not been slightly paranoid about this. Mind the punctuation! /images/graemlins/stunned0.gif

I hope they will be able to see I placed an order for a full set and throw in the box, but I'm not betting on it.. I emailed and see what happens..
Can you just order the KOR box by itself? I was under the impression you had to order 12 other DVDs at the same time and you might get it shipped with the KOR box. Not like the UY movie box that you can order by itself with $3 S/H..
