Huge July Newtype scoop

Okay, supposedly (this has been verified by several sources) in the July Newtype coming out next week there's a HUGE scoop. Replacing Blood+ on the magical 6pm Saturday TBS/MBS timeslot in October will be a Sunrise animated, CLAMP designed, Goro Taniguchi directed anime called Lelouch. No other details at this time so far... ^^;

Blood+ will be finishing in October at 50(?) episodes - it needs to be replaced with something.

And if this news is true, it'll make me a very happy bunny. But then again, it could fuse together the worst aspects of CLAMP and Taniguchi and make it Sweet Valerian crossed with Gun x Sword...

Erm, Blood+ has been airing for like 8 months now. This is supposed to take over the time slot in October when Blood+ ends. This is the Gundam SEED/Fullmetal Alchemist/Gundam SEED Destiny/Blood+ timeslot at 6pm on Saturdays on every TBS/MBS station in Japan.

The source is July Newtype (Japan), it streets on the 9th of June, so in 5 days we'll know if this is true. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Magic Knight Rayearth has its fair share of mecha. Season 2 makes much more extensive use of them, though. /images/graemlins/happy.gif

They won't have to since early issues of Newtype always leak a few days early and the news will be crossposted over Japanese boards and news sites like wildfire. It's unusual for Newtype scoops to leak an entire week before the street date though.

I don't think I'd mind watching Kidou Senshi Mahou Shoujo <insert girl's name here>...

Anyways, out of the few things that I've seen or read from CLAMP (X tv, CCS tv, xxxholic & Chobits manga), I have enjoyed...so I'll look out for this one.

But if CLAMP has any influence at all other than character designs, it'll be more overt and harder for the people in denial to argue heterosexuality.
