While the series will most likely be pure cheese cake, something about the series makes me want to watch it. You can check out a little clip from the show at the offical website (http://www.starchild.co.jp/special/tonagra/). The story is your standard "childhood friend shows up again" and mayhem ensues type of story. Basically it's a light romantic comedy.

Our main female character is Kazuki, who lives with her sister Hatsune(the ditzy, busty one). Yuuji has a sister also, Marie(who ends up having to set her brother straight with her "teddy gun"). Yuuji comes back after ten years, but as usual, is a pervert. So the first episode goes through him trying to cop a feel while Kazuki bats him away. It shapes up as a introduction to everyone and their antics.

While the series appears to be fluff, I enjoyed the first episode. Once in a while it's fun to take a break from the more serious shows and watch something light hearted and funny. Hopefully the series turns out to be pretty good heh.

Actually, Marie is Yuuji's sister, who spends most of her time apologising for her pervy brother - when she's not punishing him with her teddybear-gun.

Ah, thanks for that. Was going by what I saw(2chan) and figured it was a three sister thing. But yeh, the teddy gun could have all types of practical implications for the modern soldier /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif. I'm going to follow the show, as it seems like it'll be pretty good. But thanks for the heads up Turvy.

I've seen the blog postings about this and so far it looks like it's going to be the most fanservice heavy show of the season..... for better or worse. /images/graemlins/happy.gif

Most likely, hence the cheesecake comments heh. But it seems interesting, and the characters are pretty good together, so I'll give it a chance.

Well Tonagura appears to be airing every Saturday, so it gives me something to watch heh. Going by the normal 2chan thread, it looks like another fun episode. While still having a bit of fanservice, we get to see some of Kazuki and Yuuji's childhood together through flashbacks . The rest of the episode is dedicated to Yuuji moving into his apartment, and Kazuki in a maid outfit(as seen in the next episode preview). Other then that, we have shots of Kazuki in her swimsuit in the bath, her maid outfit tearing with Yuuji near her, and other fanservice mishaps . The first two episodes are trying to set up the relationships and atmosphere between the characters before they bring new ones in. It's obvious that Kazuki cares for Yuuji, and vice versa.

Next weeks episode looks interesting, as we get a new male and female cast member, and they seem to go to school heh. Yeh, I know the show is pure fluff, but It's a guilty pleasure /images/graemlins/devil.gif. I know my summaries aren't the best, but I try to get some information across heh.

Wow, episode 7 was just too good. This episode has implied Sistercon/"sisincest" on it. You got to watch this. I can understand why probably very few people are watching the show.

I've been trying to keep up with it, but it seems of fallen off the face of the earth heh. I couldn't even find the threads on 2chan when the show aired(not enough to be able to judge what was going on). It's a interesting series(to me), but it seems to be floating under the radar.

Actually I only started watching this today. I'm currently watching the second episode. So far on the positive side it seems like a series you watch for the fun of it and fanservice. On the negative side I fear some aspects could eventually get repetitive. Either way I'll see how things go.

Still I think the scary part right now is how Marie carries the weapon for protection. Which to me implies that either Yuji focused his perversion on his own sister once or they fear that given his attitude he eventually will.. Either way Marie is definitely cute and kind of fun.

Anyone else finished this show? I just did. It turned out to be better than I expected (which is saying much since I disliked the 1st 2 episodes which reminded me of a weak Love Hina clone). The characters kind of grow on me and I liked the focus on drama and how there was character growth in the end of the series. I'm a little disappointed that the ending is kind of open-ended though. Are there plans for a 2nd season? Does the manga go beyond the anime ending and is it still running?

With a show like this I'd think that we were lucky to get one season. I'm not sure on the manga though as I never read it. Tonagura was a nice little "diversion" when it came to shows as it was something you could watch for the wacky fanservice and leave with a smile. I kind of forgot about it as new shows came in and it kind of dropped to the wayside.
