The Super GALS! Character Poll

In honor of the long-awaited announcement of the second season of Super GALS! coming to the U.S. (so I'm a couple weeks late, sue me) I thought I'd ask everyone who their favorite characters were. Let us all know exactly what you like about them, and feel free to provide your favorite pictures!

I'm a guy but I still answered 2nd place as the best guy. He just doesn't get enough love. I feel bad for him.

I love pretty much all the GALS, but Miyu is my absolute favourite, with Ran just beating out Aya...

Of the guys, gotta love Second Place, with the one and only Machida Black as second...(heh, irony)

As for the others, Sayo of course (you bet) but Naka-sen gets my second vote just for always trying with Ran and actually able to listen to Ran's excuses for her non-homework (and can be pretty cool in some eps too)...

This came out more like a favorite couple poll. My favorite established couple is Miyu & Yamato, fav. oughta-be couple is Ran & Yuuya, and just all-around cutest couple is the Junior Detective duo. Never bothered with the dub (don't like ADV dubs as a rule), so its lack won't bother me. I'm hoping that with this release, Gals might become a come-from-behind sleeper success, since it's just such an adorable "dramedic" show without being either stupid or abandoning plot for panties.

Had to go with Miyu and Yamato as favorite guy and gal. I always enjoy their story bits in the series, especially some of the more dramatic moments that pop up every now and then.
As for supporting character, I went with Naka-sen. His reactions to Ran's antics are priceless... /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif

Edit: Oh yeah, I couldn't decide who would be #2 in any of the categories, so I just voted once...

Oh snap! You're right, how COULD we choose between all the great Gals?! (Ran is still the perfect woman though)

oh yeah, Odaiba Cop really looks like that guy from Gungrave... Bunji...

But I think their characters were lifted from some live-action Japanese thing...

Gal: Aya - I identify her initially wanting to please her parents and then breaking away from that to find happiness.

Guy: Nii - I really feel sorry for the guy. He's so nice and is contantly pining after Ran and doing things for her. However, I think he suffers from the dreaded "Friend Zone" disease.

Other: Sayo - Her dedication to the "Junior Detectives" and Masato is endearing and I love her hats.

Aya, she's cute and has a nice personality.
Miyu, she's funny (but still sane /images/graemlins/wink.gif ) and has an interesting history.

Who is your favorite boyfriend (actual or would-be)?

Yamato, he's got his head screwed on straight, and is good for Miyu.
2nd place, 'cause he's funny and you've gotta feel sorry for the poor guy! (Stuck in the "friend zone", he deserves the pity of males everywhere!)

Who is your favorite other character?

Naka-sen, That guy takes so much abuse and still tries his best
Other: Ran's mom... (OK, it's 'cause she's hot...)

Those were my votes, I didn't realize we could vote for more than one /images/graemlins/tongue.gif. Oh well, you really can't beat those three /images/graemlins/happy.gif. I will really miss the dub for season 2, you bet!
