View Full Version : Patlabor DVD viewing order?

Last DDD sale I purchased almost all the Patlabor series and Movie 1(still need Patlabor II and WXIII movies). Can someone give me the definitive viewing order?

I gather it's something like this:

OVA set
Movie 1
TV Series set
WWXIII
Movie 2
The New Files set

Am I off?

Well, it'd probably be best to watch the first OVA series and/or at least part of the TV series first, after that the viewing order doesn't matter much. But I'm inclined to view it like this myself...

OVA set
Movie 1
TV series
Movie 2
New Files
WXIII

That seems to be the order they were released in so you can't really go wrong with that.

I was just reading the nice booklet that comes with the new release of Patlabor The Movie 1 and according to them it goes like this:

OVA
The Movie 1
TV Series
OVA 2 (The New Files?)
The Movie 2
WXIII Movie

I don't want to argue with Wagg,and it's been a while since I last saw them, but movie 1 before the TV series?? That doesn't seem right somehow. A good resource for Patlabor online is: Patlabor Resource (http://members.iimetro.com.au/~mwhitley/patlinks.htm)
