Most screwed up rag-tag team

One of the most cliched storylines is a bunch of misfits teaming together.
What the team that actually made you wonder how the hell are they going to get along long enough to complete the series?

My picks:
Irresponsible Captain Tylor: they fought a lot in the beginning and were at each other's throats at any impasse

Evangelion (the hindsight pick): you start the series thinking these are competent people trying to save the world. When you look back, you wonder how they managed to squeak by at all.

Cromartie fits the bill, as does GTO. I would really have to go with the "team" in GTO though. Onizuka earns their respect, and they're pretty loyal to him.

Three words: Ping Pong Club. Probably one of the most screwed up teams in the history of anime.

Agreed, but gotta add the sports duos of The Kisaragi 9 (princess 9) and the Deimon Devil Bats (Eyeshield 21) to that list as well - two teams with very different personalities in each character and yet with so few players (and in P9 case of the opposite sex) they both rather well for themselves.

Don't know if these would count, but whata bout Team Urameshi fro Yu Yu Haksuho or the guys from samurai Champloo. The Urameshi team really wasn't at eahc others throts that much thouhg there was defindently animosity on the team between a couple of members. Still they ahd the whole working together nto survive thing going on. And i haven't seen past R1 Volume 2 of Champloo so i don't know if those guys learn to wokr together any better. And that's only three so it might not count as a team in the sense of a group.

I'd say Lum and Ataru's class from Urusei Yatsura; I don't know how those people survived 200 or so episodes without lethal consequences.

Cowboy Bebop I STILL don't know how they made that work, that whole crew was almost completely independant of each other in a lot of ways. Ditto Outlaw Star. I mean. Come On!, at least two members of the crew<span style='color:#dddddd;background:#dddddd'> tried to kill Gene </span> several times in that show!

Also Excel Saga's crew, but does that even count???

Excel and Hyatt seem ok. Adding Elgala to the mix in the manga definitively screws up any chance of their success in anything.
