Order no.1 came in already, and the random goodie was the Saber coaster from the first press run of F/SN 1 LE, which is nice, because while I have that lovely box, I didn't order it in time to get the first press bonus before, so /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif

Although I usually don't buy too many R2 DVDs, I'm definitely buying one:

I just found out that the new TV series starts on Oct. 5. Uguu! I can't wait to see the new series.

Although it came out at the tail end of July, I picked up the live-action "Beta-Drama DVD" in August. "Beta" is slang for "cliche", and the TV show would present a fake drama each week in a different genre and basically just skewer the cliches of the genre in question. I can't believe the disc didn't include the brilliant "Tokyo Beta Story", in which the hero wins over a lonely girl at a bar by...speaking to her in a silly voice through a goofy-looking hand puppet: "Such a sad face doesn't become you at all!"

Nothing else planned. I'd like to see Windy Tales, but not for what they're asking. Most everything else I want to see is rentable, since I'm over here.

Upon looking a the opening sequence, I was convinced this was made in HD (which was later confirmed in the interview with the character designer/general animation supervisor, Ikeda Kazumi), something I couldn't make our during the screening event.

The DVD is composed of the non-credited OP and ED songs, the aforementioned interview, and four promotional trailers. Of the trailers, the first three are 1-1.5 minutes long, which have been previously shown on the net, but the fourth one is almost 4 minutes long, complete with diagloue with excerpts from several episodes, which is somewhat spoilerish.

The DVD comes with a mini calendar and a nice booklet introducing the characters and staff, a good purchase for the price.

Can't wait until October.
