I recently marathoned the whole show, and I got to thinking what everyone would be doing in five years, after they've all graduated from college.

Chiyo - Post-graduate work in economics.
Osaka - Training for her teacher's certificate.
Yomi - Nutritionist.
Sakaki - Veterinarian.
Kagura - Swim teacher.
Tomo - Police Academy.

Kaorin - buys a pet so she can frequent Sakaki's practice. Works as an office lady.
Yukari - Still insane, still teaching.
Nyamo - Still teaching and recently married (successful marriage meeting).
Kimura - Fired for sexual harrassment of female students, has a restraining order against him from Kaorin.

I've always wished there was an AzuDai: The College Years story. Obviously they'd have to do a bit of retconning to make all the girls go to the same school, but that wouldn't be too hard. Just say Chiyo and Osaka (with her special kind of genius) got in with academic merit scholarships, Sakaki and Kagura play on the athletitic teams, Yomi barely pass the entrance exam, and Tomo got in by cheating off of Yomi.

Honestly, I really don't want a sequel. Especially like that. The bitter-sweet ending I think was really part of it, that they go on and might never see eachotther again. It was really poignant, and doing a continuation with the same cast would probably come off as pretty cheap.

Econ? While Chiyo-chan can be quite serious and determined, I think she has too much of a fun-loving side to bury herself in graphs of the derivation of the curve. I would think more like literature of some sort.

I don't know. I don't think Tomo has the stamina required to go through academy training. With her off-the-chart case of ADD, I don't think she could make it for more than on week. After college, I see her working part-time in a convenience store, still dreaming about becoming a member of the ICPO.

I was seeing her as eventually rising to the Japanese equivalent of the Federal Reserve boss, using her genius to keep Japan as a leading economic power.

She can be quite persistant for a while, though. Ultimately, I think she would study really hard, put everything she had forward, and get through the academy, but due to the general assignments given to women in the Japanese police system, she would end up being assigned to the traffic safety section, where she would endevour to write parking tickets.

As Tomo is the only one that can actually stand Yukari's driving, she will never be able to get her license.

Ahh if only they'd make a ten year anniversery class reunion OVA to get them all back together in the same place, all the little episode/skits could be flashbacks as they all catch up with each others lives.

Chiyo-Chan - Got her edication in America where she now lives and works
Tomo-Chan - works in the police force, enjoys the thrill of the chase a little too much, <span style='color:#dddddd;background:#dddddd'> and has arrested Yukari several times for speeding </span>.
Yomi - Happy in her life, like through much of the series she's definied by what she isn't, still friends with officer Tomo-chan who still lives near her.
Sakaki-San - moved away from home soon after leaving school so she could have lots of pets, has since become a Veterinarian.
Osaka-San - Has become a homeroom teacher, she's good at what she does though her class thinks she's wierd. She's also still trying to arrange that elusive class trip to america (<span style='color:#dddddd;background:#dddddd'> so she can visit what she still thinks is Chiyo-land </span>)
Kagura - has been to two olympics, won bronze and silver respectivly, now works as a PE teacher.


Yukari - still a homeroom teacher at the same school.
Nyamo - married to a nice guy and with small child. Still friends with Yukari though wont let her babysit.
Kaorin - struggled through Veterinarian school in order to get a job working with Sakaki, finally took out a restraining order on Kimura after he tried to get a job at the Veterinarian school.
Kimura - was unable to attend the class reunion due to the restraining order placed on him by kaorin, though was apparently spotted somewhere on campus.

Tomo: Achieves notoriety after she pens a tell-all based on her stellar career as an upbeat sexual surrogate

Kaorin: Leads "Dykes on Bikes" in 2010 San Francisco Gay Parade

Yukari: Seduces Nyamo's fiance, fails in guilt-ridden suicide attempt, gains serenity only after achieving her first multiple orgasm with a stranger during one-night stand in love hotel
