I'm sure some of you sometimes feel that the fanboys and fangirls are constantly going on about the same few characters that they feel are hot and sexy. Is there any anime character(any gender) which hardly anyone considers sexy but you find to be incredibly sexy?

As for Minmay, I'd guess it's because most people remember her as a whiny girl from the Robotech TV series vs. what she was in DYRL, which was quite a bit closer to "babe." I think it's time to bring back the Zero-G Love avatar for a bit. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Milly certainly has something about her that is sweet. Sort of like the sweet innocent type. That's why she carries that HUGE stun-gun. The size of it alone scares everyone. Meryl, on the other hand, uses what seems like an endless number of derringers, and I believe that she would kill, if she had to.

I personally like Meryl better, but like Ukyo (from Ranma), she shares seiyuu with Ayukawa Madoka, and so they are high on my favorites lists. The fact that I liked them before I saw KOR, not withstanding.

I never liked Shampoo, though. I'm just not into the violent Chinese bimbo type.

You and a majority of the fanbase. Ami comes in as a close second. I'm a Sailor Pluto fan myself. She's not at all popular due to being the only adult senshi. :p


This thread would be easier to answer if it was aking which characters you like that others neglect. Every character I think is sexy would qualify as sexy by most mainstream standards. I usually prefer the mature women in anime over the teenage roster that's usually involved. They have big boobs and are arguably the most level-headed characters in their respective series.

Examples being: Misato Katsuragi, Murrue Ramius, Sailor Pluto, Mutsumi Otohime, Raquel Cassul, CZ Artillery and Ash's mom on Pokemon. /images/graemlins/noseblee.gif

All of them are sexy, but none of them get the attention they deserve. They are also not allowed to develop much, if at all, in their respective series. The older males and younger females always hog the spotlight.

Part of why I liked Sailor Jupiter was because of her maturity when compared to the other characters (disregarding her sempai fixation). I'm new enough to anime/ the internet that any hub-bub about the Sailor Soldiers had pretty much petered out before I became involved (which is why I didn't know how popular Sailor Jupiter was/is.) As a fortyish woman, I'm finding that I'm really going for the characters who are comparable in age, the kind of men I'd be attracted to if they were real. That's a side benefit to me for series like FMA and Bleach, they have plenty of grown men for a woman like me to lust after.

I think I'll mention a character more people on this forum would know about. For reasons I can understand, Forte Stollen from Galaxy Angel is not very popular (as was even stated in the series itself). I find her incredibly sexy. Tall female characters always interest me, as Fujiko (above) and Naga from Slayers do, but Forte is something else! The husky (Japanese) voice, topheaviness, interest in firearms, and the uniform make her very sexy in my opinion. Oh, and women who wear a monocle are HOT!

Kei from Dirty Pair (Original and Flash). I'm sure there are fans out there who find Kei sexy, but I've personally only heard people talk about Yuri. Not that Yuri isn't hot, but I find Kei's tomboyishness rather appealing.

I've never heard that sort of talk about City Hunter's Kaori either. Not sure what Ryo's problem is, 'cause I'd do her.

EDIT: Lina of Slayer's fame. Small chest be damned, Lina is hot.

The first one that comes to mind is Ritsuko Akagi from Evangelion. I still like Misato the best, but I hardly see any love for "Ritsu," a very lonely and interesting character. Unfortunately, Rei and Asuka get all the attention, (which is understandable, but I just don't find 14-year-olds "sexy").

In Gundam shows, I'm partial to Matilda Adjan (First Gundam), Emma Sheen (Zeta), Christina Mackenzie (0080), and Murrue Ramius (Seed), though judging by the amount of times Murrue has come up in this thead, I'm clearly not alone. But all four are strong women, intelligent, professional, but still feminine. These are the qualities I like in women. From what I've seen of Gundam Seed Destiny (eps. 1-14), Lunamaria Hawke seems to possess these qualities despite being only 17, though we still haven't learned very much about her. But from what I gather, she is pretty popular so I suppose she wouldn't belong on this list anyways, would she?

Cher Degré from Wolf's Rain is another character I don't hear much about. She is intelligent and very physically attractive, and dresses in professional clothes but still maintains an aura of femininity. Very, very sexy.

Tsubasa Hojo should be added to your list of artists who draw/design hot looking but normally proportioned women. Like Akemi Takeda, he also does facial expressions to match a character well.

Not mentioned before are the women of Silent Mobius - Kasumi Liquer &amp; Kiddy Phelin in particular. Kia Asamiya also draws good mature women IMO. I think I can see that now. Go figure that after I posted that, I watched the episode from City Hunter season 2 where <span style='color:#dddddd;background:#dddddd'>Kaori falls down stairs and gets amnesia, which leads to her asking Ryo what his feelings toward her is. His response was drowned out (to the audience) by an explosion, but when Kaori got her memory back she said she had a dream where Ryo said something 'really nice to her' or something.</span> When I posted that reply I was thinking of a scene from Million Dollar Conspiracy where, for some reason, Kaori flat out asked Ryo "well, why don't you just have sex with me?" which got a over-the-top neagtive reaction from Ryo. In about every American fan poll I've seen over the years, Yuri is always the favorite, although the split is not far from 50-50 (maybe as much as 60-40). Sara Adiemus, Tae-chan and Itoko (School Rumble) - Sarah has a gentle beauty about her which for me is on par with the more popular Eri and Yakumo, whilst Itoko is a matured blossom making fellow and Tae...well...let's put it this way, once she became a nurser the injuries piled on...^_^
Miyu Yamazaki (SuperGALS) - O.K, she's taken but I just find everything about her attractive - her personality (after the whole gang problems), her face, her innoncence (again, when she gets mad, not so innocent)...December for S2 can't go fast enough...
Haruka (Sister Princess) - A German girl who acts and is the most Japanese orientated of the bunch, her blushing face always puts a smile on my face and I find her ways a lot more attractive than the other elder girls such as Sakuya and Chikage.

You can throw in the majority of the cast of Princess Nine as well - in particular Yuki (she needs a hug), Hikaru (Osakan girls rule) and Izumi (best bitch ever...)

Physically attractive, yeah, sure, I'll give you that. Sexy... Uh... The mood ends as soon as she opens her mouth and words come out. Hell, she just has a bad attitude, and nothing helps this. Given the two girl pilots (her and Rei), they are completely opposite personalities. One is quiet, gentle and unassuming, the other is loud, brash and arrogant. One is an incredible Eva pilot with naturally gifted talent, the other is pissed off that she is #2. Literally, the second child(ren).

Now, that being said, Asuka softens up if you read the manga. Yeah, it was written after the anime, but it focuses more on the thoughts and inner conflicts that the characters are going through, and gives a new light. I never, ever liked Asuka when I first watched the anime. Then two things happened for me, first I discovered Yuko Miyamura's true talents through other series (see avatar), and I read the manga. Asuka is just a really sad and troubled (insecure) little girl. Who either needs a good bitch slapping, someone to really love her despite herself, or both.

That's the thing I've noticed about both Excel and Hyatt. They're both very attractive characters, but their flaws make them huge turn-offs for some people. The short haircut is a bit of a problem. However, she has a nice figure, especially when she wears those mini-skirts with the tights! /images/graemlins/noseblef.gif

So maybe she isn't as "big" as Saeko and doesn't wear lip-stick (at least not yet that I've seen), but oh well. I would never mistake her for a man as the running joke in the show suggests now and then.

It's funny, that's exactly how I fell in love with Azumanga Daioh at first. I don't think I laughed any more than a chuckle while watching it, but the next day I was giggling like a moron thinking back on certain scenes.

Mao is like the second character that would qualify as the sexiest girlfriend that you'd never want to have, right behind Kaname. At least that's how I remember Kaname being described.

While I'm not a huge Aisha fan, I'm pretty fond of her "sister" character from Hyper Police. But, I do like that Aisha is sort of cat-like in personality.

And, I also kind of find Hinata from Naruto sort of appealing, especially after watching her fight. She'd pretty powerful, even if she did loose.
