will Rhino at least spit out the rest of the Battle of the Planets eps? they totally screwed up with the various methods of release so far, but i still want ALL the episodes. i grew up with BOTP, so i really want all the eps!
should i just spend the $80.00 for the UK mega set?
any word on if ADV is gonna do BOTP up righteous, like they've done with the killer Gatchaman sets?

I wouldn't bet on it considering its almost 2 years since the last release and they still have about half the series to go, though their Beast Machines release shows things can reappear from the depths. ADV have the rights to Gatchaman only, not the BotP series, so they can't release that.
Have you been buying the Gatchaman sets? Some great eps out of the ones missed by the previous versions.
Personally I'm happy having a the sample eps from the two Rhino releases I have and only look at them for the nostalgia and shudder factors.

On the topic of episodes of "Gatchaman" being left out of "Battle of the Planets," does anyone know if they were omitted here and there, or were a chunk of them just left out at the end of the original series? I ask because I've made it through eighty-four episodes of Gatchaman so far, and I still haven't come across the one clear memory of Battle of the Planets I still have from my early youth, where Ken (to use his Gatchaman name) is alone and being informed that Galactor has conquered the world in his absence. It made an impression on me, but I'm wondering if I somehow invented it after the fact...

Looks like it isn't big chunks for BotP, but is for G-Force

that's pretty much what i thought, and i'm very close to ordering the UK set... but i just thought i'd post the question just in case something had been announced by Rhino, and i missed it. (btw, Rhino is Warner Bros, right?)

i was just hoping they picked up the BOTP rights, too.

i can understand why most might not care about BOTP after getting these great Gatchaman sets, but as much as i hated 7-Zark-7 back then, i still L-O-V-E the Sandy Frank version soooo much! (i had a rough childhood, lived in a group home for troubled kids -- my "trouble" being "hyper-active" and my stepfather didn't like me so it was either him or me and my mother chose him) back then, every day at 3PM, i sat and watched BOTP (and Spiderman) and escaped. so, it means a lot to me to get all the eps.
[as for the G-Force version, i hated it!]
