How a MILF category? although I assume all the potential archtypes could be just an twist of all the archtypes that were in the boy tourney....

He might decide on a few different categories in the end, but I do have the Newtype issue from January 2003 that features the six main types of female characters in anime.
Those types listed in that article:

Girl Next Door
Tomboy
Maiden
Older Woman (MILF would fall in here if these six would be used)
Child
Alien (Would also include non-Japanese characters if the series setting is in Japan)[/list]

Sorta a different spin on the anime draft where you try to "draft" a team of female characters that will get you the most points.
But there are some twists in that you will only be able to send one of your "players" to each archetype pool.
Too make things even more interesting is that before you draft six possible archetypes will be revealed, but only four of them will be used.
So each coach will have to draft five female characters that either best fit a certain archetype or cover more then one type.
Then when all the drafting is done two of the possible archetypes will be eliminated.
Each coach will then send one of their players to each of the remaining four pools.
They will go one on one with other players from other teams in polls getting three contest to score the most points.
Note that each pool has a certain archetype like say Psycho and a somewhat vague discription if the type is given.
So the most popular character is not sure to win like Dilandau Albatou winning the Psycho pool.
Of course not all your characters need to win for your team to win. Just score enough points to keep you close and get maybe one of your other team members into a pool final.
Hope that helps.

Okay to make sure things keep moving I will be revealing the possible archetypes today. Still signing up coaches but I thought it would be best to do this so I can quickly go into drafting once the deadline comes up.
Mature, Tomboy, Inhuman, Wallflower, Angelic, & Devilish are the six possible archetypes pools so keep that in mind when drafting. Warning these are only the possible archetypes and only four of them will be used in the actual tourney.
Note talk about the six all you want but you may want to avoid giving away too many picks unless your baiting each other. /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif
Warning! Warning! These will only be guidelines and coaches (and voters) may take them as they will.
Mature: Referring to either chronological or mental maturity of this female. This archetype can either be older then the typical anime character or acts much older then her years.
Tomboy: A girl who behaves according to the stereotypical gender role of a boy. Usually this includes appearance of hair and clothing, but not always.
Inhuman: Whether in mind, body, or spirit this girl is not quite human. Aliens, demon, beast, or artificial are all examples. This archetype can also include those that act without compunction or human feeling.
Wallflower: Shy girls with a low self esteem are typical of this archetype. They tend not participate in activities at a social event because of fear or unpopularity.
Angelic: A girl that is known for their sweet nature and kindness toward others. Willing to sacrifice her own well being to help others and is consider the epitome of goodness.
Devilish: A girl whose shows great cunning or wickedness in getting what they want. Especially delights in teasing and provoking others around them.

I'm not sure as to when it will begin (I would assume sometime this weekend or sometime next week), but once registration is closed, a random draft order will be made and then the first player will be on the clock. He or she will have 24 hours to make a pick and once their pick is made, the next person in the draft order will have 24 hours.
For example, if you draft first and you make your pick at 10:00 in the morning and I draft after you, then I'll have until 10:00 the following morning to make my pick.
To view the thread for the Boys of Summer draft we had earlier, click here (http://forums.animeondvd.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=generalanimeforum&Number=1 357666&Forum=All_Forums&Words=%2Bboys%20%2Bof%20%2 Bsummer&Searchpage=0&Limit=25&Main=1357666&Search= true&where=bodysub&Name=&daterange=1&newerval=1&ne wertype=y&olderval=&oldertype=&bodyprev=#Post13576 66). Yes the draft will start Sunday morning 12:01am PST, but the actual draft order will be revealed Saturday morning. The actual draft might start earlier as soon as the first drafter wants to go, but the clock won't start until Sunday.
It seems 24 hrs is a good amount of time and I try my best to PM each coach as soon as they are on the clock. Plus if you wish and your pick is very close you could PM me with a list of characters you wish to draft. Some did that in the Boys Of Summer tourney. Of course there is the last resort and your pick gets pushed to the penalty round, but it hasn't got to that point so far. /images/graemlins/sweat000.gif /images/graemlins/sweat000.gif /images/graemlins/sweat000.gif

One pick per round, right? So... If I get this straight, we could potentially run throught the draft fairly quickly, of, if we had 20 coaches, and 5 rounds, it could take 2400 hours? I hope that this doesn't take 100 days!
Or does a coach pick all 5 players at once? That could still draw it out to 20 days... I certainly want to be fair to everyone, and understand that there are members of the forum that don't live in the western hemisphere...
Since this is not the first time this has been done, I'll let you guys be the judges on how to do this. I'm just along for the ride.

Well the Anime Draft that traditionally has 20 players and ten rounds took I believe five days to get through a round and the BOS with just 12 coaches took about 2-4 days. But others like Victor could most likely answer your question better. I do know there will be times picks will whiz by and other times a coach is away for almost the full period. Usually you can get a guessimate and be ready for when your pick comes up. I'm shooting to have the whole GTSC done in a month and half.

Looking at the BOS draft thread, we started on 6/4 and ended on 6/13. So, it took 10 days to make all 60 picks.

Only one round took over five days to complete in the 2006 Anime Draft (Round 7 - 5 days, 3 hours, 54 minutes). Rounds 3 and 5 each took over four days to complete. The rounds in that draft averaged about 3 1/2 days per round with 20 players. /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif

I kept track of time during the 2006 Anime Draft, and the last two VA Drafts I was in. I didn't bother tracking times for the Boys of Summer Tourney during the drafting phase. My picks for this Tourney may not be as quick as in previous tournaments as I am working during the week. /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif

So that the possible six are up I thought I get a feeling as to their potential.
1. Which archetype looks to be the hardest to draft for?
2. Which looks the riskiest one to draft.
3. Which looks to be the easiest to draft.
4. Which archetype looks like it will be the most competitive?
5. Whick looks to be the least competitive?
6. Which archetype has the sharpest description?
7. Which archetype has the loosiest description?
8. Which archetype looks the most interesting?
9. Which archetype looks the most boring?

1. Which archetype looks to be the hardest to draft for?
Personally for me, the hardest is mature, as it's a choice of using an obvious older character, or someone younger who is wise beyond her years...the others seem more straight forward, albeit inhuman is similar due to either someone not human either physically...or emotionally.
2. Which looks the riskiest one to draft.
Inhuman again - it's hard to see if it defines a person who is not human in body or in spirit.
3. Which looks to be the easiest to draft.
Angelic for me - I've got several characters in mind for that spot (albeit only a couple I want to use due to them also being able to fit other spots)
4. Which archetype looks like it will be the most competitive?
Wallflower I'd say - Ironically with all the shy girls in anime this could be the most competitive...
5. Whick looks to be the least competitive?
Devilish or Tomboy - I just get the feeling if you hit one character that defines it to a tee it's all over.
6. Which archetype has the sharpest description?
Tomboy - Pretty straight forward.
7. Which archetype has the loosiest description?
The rest. /images/graemlins/catgirl0.gif Nah, seriously again it's Inhuman for me.
8. Which archetype looks the most interesting?
Angelic - Mainly because there are obvious characters out there that definite it both physically in ways, but others which aren't so obvious but yet fits the characterization in the notes perfectly, but just not so obvious. It's up to the coaches to make sure people realise that and get the votes in.
9. Which archetype looks the most boring?
None - they're all evil! /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif
10. Which archetype you wish was included?
Energetic - Genki characters are a pound a penny but with a description on the lines of 'Someone who never gives up no matter what the circumstances arise' could give food for thought and bring some interesting battles.
Still, this types are all difficult as I bring in a final list (and pray no-one takes a few of the characters I set up early) - gah, I'm getting old, (26 next week) my brain is melting...

Mature is actually pretty straight forward, but there are not a lot of mature women that are primary characters in anime. Lots of secondary characters, and I think there are some pretty popular ones. Those will most certainly go early in the draft! Inhuman will be interesting to see what direction the majority coaches will go, either inhuman physically, or emotionally void. But, inhuman will be easy for me.

I'd say that there are some obvious choices for Wallflower that would will ensure that the pretty much clear the boards. Devilish or Tomboy will be more competitive, as there are a larger pool of very popular characters to choose from. Wallflower has a lot of characters that fit in this category, and a lot of popular ones, but there is only one or two that are far and above the most popular, and guaranty a win for the team.

Again, for me, there is one or two characters here that define the archetype, and are extremely high in popularity. If one of these two go early in the draft, a win in this category is all but certain for the team.

Energetic - Genki characters are a pound a penny but with a description on the lines of 'Someone who never gives up no matter what the circumstances arise' could give food for thought and bring some interesting battles.

Genki would be interesting too. I think this would be a very difficult and close battle, as there are lots of characters in this category, and I'm at a loss for a clearly most popular one.

Just a young puppy.
While I'm sure that there are characters that would make up a winning team, I'm actually going my own direction. Hopefully all my picks will do their best in the individual competitions, but as long as they do their best, that's all I can ask for.

Devilish would be the riskiest here. Again I see a few girls that would own this category.
3. Which looks to be the easiest to draft.
Tomboy
4. Which archetype looks like it will be the most competitive?
I can see several of the categories being competitive, but if I had to choose one, it would be Angelic. Lots of leads to pit against each other here. /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif
5. Whick looks to be the least competitive?
Wallflower because if certain girls get drafted, it's game over before the voting even starts. /images/graemlins/knowital.gif
6. Which archetype has the sharpest description?

7. Which archetype has the loosiest description?

Some questions
- can we pick ANY anime girl regardless of whether or not it's licensed? I mean, yeah picking titles people are more familiar might help us in the long-run, but I'm hoping we're not limited

I think Chimp will confirm this, but I think the answer is you can enter any anime girl if thye Boy's Tournament was any indication, which included the then unlicenced Lahrll from Disgaea and a couple of others I think.
Images? Not sure what you mean but if you mean images of characters, if this goes the same way of the boys tournaments that will be sorted out by PDF files if I remember...if Chimp can clarify this (I'm just assuming here) that would be great.

Some questions

Your not limited by anything just that they were in an animated show from Japan, South Korea, or even China. But of course there is risk involve with taking unlicensed characters. Then again depending on how much you campaign for your team might change this.
Oh and don't think title or leading characters are the only ones that can be competitive. The archetypes can give supporting characters and villians a good chance as any. Plus this time we will be doing round robin instead of single elimation.
- how big can the images be?
Images can be any size you want if your posting them. If you PM me the image then I will be cropping them to fit into a PDF file and upload to some space I have. Again it doesn't really matter as I have plenty of room and the more detailed the better to zoom in.
Now if some one wants to do some nice page with all the pools and rounds well thats great too. Right now I don't have the skillz and time to really do that myself.

Remember two of the possible six archetypes will be dropped and you only get five picks. This means you might have to take a risk on one of the archetypes being picked or not picked. In the BOS a few got burned with the Youthful, Ecchi, and Psycho archetypes.

4.Which Archetype looks like it will be the most competitive?

5. Which looks to be the least competitive

6.Which archetype has the sharpest description?
Inhuman and Tomboy both have very good descriptions.
7. Which archetype has the loosest description?

1. Which archetype looks to be the hardest to draft for?
Angelic. I've got a few in mind, but it's such a loose generalization, especially since most really nice girls in anime can have some really sinister motives.
2. Which looks the riskiest one to draft.
Inhuman, such a vague, vague description. The good news though, is right now, all the girls I plan to draft would fit the bill quite well.
3. Which looks to be the easiest to draft.
Inhuman. "Normal" and "anime" seldom mix.
4. Which archetype looks like it will be the most competitive?
Wallflower. The shy girls are always the most talked about and usually the most liked.
5. Whick looks to be the least competitive?
Tomboy. Someone's just gonna nail this one on the head and ruin it for the rest of us, I'm sure... hope it's me ^^
6. Which archetype has the sharpest description?
Wallflower. Shy, quiet, introverted... no ambiguity whatsoever.
7. Which archetype has the loosiest description?
Inhuman. If it can be in body, mind, or spirit... well, that just opens the floodgates to nearly anyone.
8. Which archetype looks the most interesting?
Mature. Because the descriptions are sharp, they vary, and finding the right balance will be difficult.
9. Which archetype looks the most boring?
Inhuman. Because (again), there's pretty much no limits.
10. Which archetype you wish was included?
Loli. Survival of the cutest.

1. Which archetype looks to be the hardest to draft for?
For me, that has to be Mature. Not only is it hard for me to find “mature” girls given my interest in comical anime, but also there’s the challenge of finding another category to fit the “mature” girl in case “mature” doesn’t turn up as a category.
2. Which looks the riskiest one to draft.
I have to go with Angelic, as one person’s idea of an Angelic character could be different to another person’s idea.
3. Which looks to be the easiest to draft.
To me, the easiest would be Wallflower, as I am very familiar with a lot of girls that could be considered “wallflowers”. Other ones that would be easy to choose would be Devilish and Inhuman.
4. Which archetype looks like it will be the most competitive?
I can definitely see Devilish as a category that will be the most competitive because a lot of the more “interesting” girls fall in this category.
5. Whick looks to be the least competitive?
Something tells me that it’s going to be either Wallflower or Mature.
6. Which archetype has the sharpest description?
Definitely Wallflower, given how this category seems to be the definite category for shy, mousy girls.
7. Which archetype has the loosiest description?
Definitely Inhuman, considering how it could refer to a girl with superhuman powers or a girl who is literally not human (i.e. an android)
8. Which archetype looks the most interesting?
As I mentioned in question 4, the more “interesting” girls will most likely be in the Devilish category.
9. Which archetype looks the most boring?
Personally, I don’t think Mature will be that interesting, but it may change once the draft begins.
10. Which archetype you wish was included?
I would have liked to have seen a archetype for characters that act childish.

Yah I found it on some non-English site after a long search. First I had to make sure I had the right character then find a decent pic. Actually found two one with her on the beach with a tied up shirt, but I thought the other pic better fit the discription of her better.
But at least it was far easier then Victor's Jun of Darling character he drafted. Male characters from a lesser known hentai title of a show I didn't personally own (but want) equal a shitty pic in my opinion. I really try to get a good pic with unique or flattering poses. Okay I thought I should get some opinions on this before its too late. While I'm leaning in a certain direction I would like to take input first.
Do you all want the matches up for the players revealed for all three rounds at once or round by round?
All at once: Would be sorta more like real sports tournments. If the coaches are so inclined can plan a campaign for those contests they think they can score the most in or try to promote the underdog position to squeeze some points there and maybe a win.
Round by round: Closer to the single elimation style known for around here. Has a greater element of surprise and antispation by not knowing who your players next opponent is. Focus more on the current rounds match up.

That was single elimination which you could see what who you might get if you won. But since that was pretty brutal we gone to pool play, where each player will get three contest. The best four from each archetype pool will move onto the four way finals. So we can't really do the old BOS style quite exactly. You knew generally what each player was heading for but not the exact matchup. I did this do give each team a more level playing field and so I only need even number of players instead of multiples of four.
So its All At Once or Round By Round.

Tomboy, Inhuman, Wallflower, Angelic
Warning! Warning! These will only be guidelines and coaches (and voters) may take them as they will.

That's too easy. Give that slot to Lafiel. Her popularity and truly inhuman look (plus she's the lead character of her series). Add too it she's a top 5 character in the Anime Drafts and been used as an entry card the last two drafts, and you have yourself a Winna! /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif

Yup the faster that happens the faster I upload the PDF file of each pool's first round. IMHO they are looking really nice with each matchup and pool standings. Interesting thing to note is in the pool standings you will be able to see which round each character was drafted from as well as there record, total points, total votes, and current standing (which is now all tied up in first place).
As for interactive, well some might want to campaign, taunt, root, or comment on the field and who they might want or prey will meet next.

I'm just not the competitive type. Actually, I'm the super competitive type, which is no fun, so I just try not to be competitive at all. It's much more fun just going for the ride, rather than having to be first, because there is always someone faster, better, and smarter than you, and you rarely will actually finish first. Setting you heart on finishing first, and giving everything you have only to come in second or worse... That's just plain depressing, and I don't want to go back into that place.
For me, it was more fun seeing who everyone picked, and seeing who I would end up picking. I think there were a lot of good picks, some characters I liked, and a few I haven't a clue who they are. But, I'll at least know they exist now, and might look them up later.

As much as I love Miyuki & Natsumi (See avatar), I decided to go a different route with this particular game which is why I didn't draft either character from YUA! this time. I was hoping to go with Inspector Kinoshita (Who appears in the final 7 episodes of Season 1, the movie, & Season 2) but she would have been limited to only 1 archtype & in the end I didn't draft her. Maybe next year...

Um...my opinion is to try and guess SotS's line-up (as opposed to randomly inserting them) which seems to be pretty straight forward looking at the choices. Besides, if you read what he wrote during the draft, I think he said as he picked which characters would fall into which category.

I'm sure he'll read this e-mail, since he usually reads the the ones that I send him (be it when it comes to his "works" or when it comes to who the lastest girl to make a Pactio with Negi in the Negima manga is).

Okay here they are and some of you will notice a little differance from the BOS, making the GTSC a little more team oriented. As of right now Team Chibivision has until Saturday afternoon to get their assignment in or the league will take over like the Expos. /images/graemlins/catgirl0.gif /images/graemlins/catgirl0.gif /images/graemlins/catgirl0.gif

No, didn't, but... guess I still don't see what that necessarily adds to the whole thing.
I suppose part of the problem is what with so many characters, there are a lot of matchups where one or both of the characters is a "don't care" or "not familiar" for me. When it's one on one, that becomes a major problem. When it's voting for one or two out of a pool of a dozen or whatever, THEN it's much more likely that my vote is going for a character(s) I truly care about and think worthy of my vote.
For example, with Angelic:
Particularly familiar with both chars: 2 matchups
Particularly familiar with one char: 5 matchups
[and 1 non-count for Chibivision missing]
With Inhuman:
Particularly familiar with both chars: 2 matchups
Particularly familiar with one char: 3 matchups
Particularly familiar with neither char: 2 matchups
[and 1 non-count for Chibivision missing]
Etc... Granted, I've *heard of* basically every one, but I dunno... just seems stretched thin this way. I'd want at least 3-4 chars per matchup. But that's just me.

Well vote for the characters you know and care about all through pool play. For each character will get three vs matchups. Then the best will go onto the pool finals that will have four characters to chose from and hopefully more then one you care about.

I'M REALLY SORRY!
I explained to both Chimp and to TnAdct1 that basically my PC decided on the day the draft was done, it was gonna crash. And I had to take it to the shop.
So I'm using a library PC to submit my choices (which I sent both to Chimp and also to TnAdct1 one) - please don't start without me, for once this wasn't my fault!!!! /images/graemlins/happy.gif
Just to make absolutely sure;
CHOICES
Angelic - Sora Naegino (Kaleido Star)
Tomboy - Kino (Kino's Journey)
Wallflower - Hinata Hyuuga (Naruto)
Inhuman - Mizuho Kazami (Please Teacher)
Again I'm sorry for the delaying!!!

Well, I did 'em last year (along with many others), as its fun to say who you think will win!
Congrats to Chimp, on GRRREAT looking draft boards this tourney!
Angelic:
Sora Naegino
vs.
Misha-San
*If the Pita-Ten anime was here, she'd win hands down. I've read the manga so she gets my vote, but others will go for Sora, as everyone knows Sora (and loves her)
Miss Sakaki
vs.
Kyoko Otonashi
*The thing that'll win here is sheer popularity. Sakaki certainly is a friggin angel, but many more people know/like Sakaki over Kyoko. I'm sure this Kyoko will give Sakaki a run for her money, but facing Sakaki just ain't easy*
Hitomi Kanzaki
vs.
Sasahara Natsuki
*I don't know either of these people, but Escaflowne is more popular than Hyper Police.*
Yomiko Readman
vs.
Tohru Honda
*It's TOHRU HONDA. From FRUITS BASKET. 'nuff said*
Rakka
vs.
Rukia
*due to the sheer amount of Bleach fans, I can see Rukia winning. However, HR is extremley popular in the Top 10 of '06 thread.*
Mai Toikha
vs.
BELLDANDY
*not even slight contest here, its BELLDANDY!*
Raquel Cassul
vs.
Momiji Fujiyama (the, WHO ARE THEY? Battle of the week!)
*no idea who wins*
Aoi Sakuraba
vs.
Chiyo Chan!
*Chiyo is the greatest. Should be a somewhat easy win!*

Indeed. As Kyon says, Mikuru is "My angel~". She wouldn't be able to beat Belldandy, but she's soooo much more angelic than Mai. Maybe Team Please!Angel just didn't have another that would have fit Wallflower.
And in the end it might have been a good choice (inadvertantly, because he couldnt know who he'd be up against)... Belldandy will win Angelic against almost anyone, so that's pretty much a throwaway match for Team Please!Angel. With Mikuru in Wallflower, he has a popular character in what was viewed as a weak pool.
Of course, even the most popular characters from unlicensed shows rarely win these things. As for the better SHnY wallflower... it depends. With the way Chimp describes the category, Mikuru is better for the "shy/low self esteem", while Yuki is better in the "tend not to participate at a social event", because reading emotions like "shy" or "fear" into Yuki is... difficult /images/graemlins/sweat000.gif

Something that I find ironic is that Riza Hawkeye was put in the Tomboy field and the picture of her that was used is the most feminine looking picture of her that I've ever seen (with her hair down, a sweet look on her face, no gun, etc.).

I won't do it now since I learned my lesson from the mascot disaster in the BOS but I thinking of what Tomcat was saying about the passive nature after the drafting.
Fifth Player Substitution: Each team may make one substitution with their fifth unused player. This may happen either after the first or second round. The new player's record, points, and votes totals will follow them in starting anew. The old player's points will remain for the team score. The substitution should be PM to me before the start of the next round.
Is an act of disperation since the record of zero follows the new player in. But if a teams selection is getting hammered this might be a way score some extra team points and maybe pull off a miracle showing.
Again this will not be implantmented this game since teams might have drafted a little differently if they knew about this at the start.

Only one of two is close to what I would actually call a tomboy. The rest have some aspects of a tomboy, but also have some feminine characteristics. Appearance isn't required, and honestly, most of the tomboys I know in real life aren't butch, and don't look like boys, they just have interests that are more normally associated with boys, like sports, gaming, cars or motorcycles, etc.
I can think of quite a few anime characters that have heavy tomboy aspects, but are also feminine and sexy...

Basically. While there is a chance for the new character making it to the finals, they start at a disadvantage. This is for teams that took a risk on a character and find out that they are getting beaten down badly and bringing down ones team. If you drafted a versitile character but left them out you can dump them in and hope to salvage some team points.

Could be several reason for this. One there is always a rush of voting in the early stages even in the BOS. Two its fall and more people are at a computer due to weather and school. Three its girls and they are more popular. I had a few hicups but I hope that corrected them fast enough not to scare some away. I will be interesting what the final vote totals will be.

Misato a tomboy? What, just because she drinks beer and her apartment is messy? Or because she carries a gun? Sorry, I'm not buying it. She's far from a delicate, refined lady and she's definitely capable of kicking ass but this doesn't make her a tomboy. I never remotely considered her for the that category.
Same for Faye. I don't see any tomboy characteristics in her personality at all. I have always thought of Faye as a very sensual woman.

Weren't we averaging about 40 votes total for the BOS?

I thought it was more in the fifties for the BOS (in fact, we are about there right now in this tourney). I'm amazed that I'm on the losing end of all my first matches right now. However, the only one getting creamed for my squad is Rukia. Everyone else has managed to garner at least 20 votes each and still have a shot right now at a close match. Hopefully one or more of them can get a win before this round is done. /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif

I can't believe I'm beating you in all four categories! I'm going to do my best not to do ANYTHING that remotely sounds like gloating, but... well, the polls speak for themselves.

Okay the matchups for the second round are all set, Woot! I only await the final scores of the first round to set up the leader boards.
So while I won't reveal anything just yet I thought I would give a few hints as to what will come.
FYI I set up the matchup by place a slip of paper with each teams on it into my Magical Sac-O-Randomness. Then with my Mikura gashapon in there to agitate them I shake well and pick two teams. I go through all four pools and place each teams player in a match, alternating each team that will be first in the poll. I have a very bad memory so I don't know which player is on which team until I pull their card.
Okay so now onto the teasers.
1) A new look for a new round, it is a girls tourney for christ sake!
2) Behold a clash of titans that will rock both heaven and earth!
3) Looking for that May-December battle? Read all about it!
4) Licenee? We don't need no stinking licenee!
5) Sci-Fi channel matchups? Terminator verse ET trilogy!
6) Matrix special, will you take the red pill or blue pill?
7) Looking for that May-December battle again? There is no escape!
8) Grace and beauty as they dance on the cutting edge without fear.
9) Another mature catfight?

Seeing as how there's only one round with more than one unlicensed characters in it, this matchup includes two of: Yuki, Mikuru, Souseiseki in Wallflower. Misha is in Angelic, but she's the only other unlicensed char in the whole tournament. S. Haruhi, F. Haruhi, and Dokuro were also drafted, but not used.
Probably Yuki vs, Mikuru since I just have a feeling that'l happen.

Nice thinking, now what are the odds of guessing the right two players when there is three possible choices?
Well I can tell you this much. Seven of the clues if cracked will each reveal four matchups. One clue doesn't reveal anything. One clue will give out the general players to three matchups thus revealing 12 possible contests. And one clue if cracked will reveal the whole second round and I think its the easiest one to do!

(Lime/Lafiel/Lum) vs. Washu Hakubi
Mahoro Vs. Haruko Haruhara
Urd vs. (Lime/Lafiel/Lum)
Ryoko vs. Naomi Armitage
Jun Fudoh vs. Natsuki Kuga
Mizuho Kazami vs. Aisha Clanclan
Dejiko vs. Maj. Motoko Kusanagi
(Lime/Lafiel/Lum) vs. Guu
So, if that's the case, looks like my previous guess at Major vs. Naomi is way off...

Don't be so sure about that. While Belldandy got more votes Tohru had an agruable more difficult opponent and the riceball's contest had more overall votes. I actual see this as a break for all the other players in the Angelic Pool, if the these two have a close race then they won't pull away from the rest of the pack.

Totally agree. Considering how well Furuba did in the Boys Tournament it's obvious of Furuba's and indeed Tohru's fanbase. And personally, going by the notes of the architype, I will actually vote for Tohru, simply because she seems naturally angelic in persona more than Belldandy. Yes, seems blasphemous, but here me out...
Tohru finds good in everyone and manages to bring their tender sides out - even Hiro and Akito fall to this. Belldandy is similar, but it's not all without something - she has that problem of course (forgot what it's called, sorry been a while since I saw AMGTV) when someone gets too close to Keiichi something bad happens...as stupid as this sounds, I see Tohru as more naturally angelic than Belldandy (duh - one's a human and one's a goddess) and will go for the riceball next vote...
