View Full Version : Hellsing OVA II thoughts

Received this a few days ago and got round to watching it last night.
As with volume 1, the animation here was excellent and the fight scenes look incredible.
I love the way the little odd bits in the manga (particularly on this disk with Seras) have been animated. Captures that wacky side of the manga well I thought.
The postcards weren't as great a LE item as the bust that came with the first volume, but they were pretty cool all the same.
The packaging and cover art was again of high quality.
Haven't watched the extra DVD yet but I browsed it very briefly and it seems to be TV spots and previews etc.
IMO so far after two volumes they have covered the extra manga parts well and my only real complaint so far is that 45 minutes is just too short! I could easily have watched another 45.
So, anyone else got this or watched it and have any thoughts on it?

I got mine at release as well. I'm extremely satisfied with the effort they're putting into the OVA. The animation, directing, script and even the packaging is totally top notch. My only regret is that if they keep the 6 month per volume release schedule up, by the time the tenth and final volume is out, we might all be dead. /images/graemlins/sad.gif

Not much to add that hasn't been said yet, so I won't.

Cheer up, at least we'll have read the manga, right?

Can't be bad as the creator of "One Piece", whom I remembered saying isn't even halfway done to finishing the manga series /images/graemlins/knowital.gif

[/ QUOTE ]That is going too far, they might pick up the pace and even at the 6 months rate it only will take 4 more years, times goes by fast.

One Piece runs in a weekly magazine. One Piece started in 1997. One Piece is now "about half finished" according to the author.
Berserk runs in a monthly magazine. Berserk started in 1990. Berserk is "on it's way to the second half" according to the author.

Now that certainly puts aside my fears for the Berserk being nowhere near finished.
