Unless I am mistaken, it's a version using HD masters, not a HD-something version, in the end it's still a standard DVD version (not even one of those WMV9 encoded DVD)

Yes, this is essentially the same as the Japanese re-release of the movie that's been using HD masters as the source material for the DVD itself. It's pretty much just a marketing gimmick for now, although it is useful to figure out if a title has a HD master and is ready for the next generation.

If I had not already bought the R2 I might have picked this up. The new masters look pretty good though some scenes look a overly dark on the R2 (unless that's how it's supposed to look).
