Thought I would check out Bokura ga Ita (v1, spec ed) (http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=PCBX-50909); finish up Kasimasi ~ Girl Meets Girl (v7, unbroadcast eps) (http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=BCBA-2414); and continue on with Simoun (v3) (http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=BCBA-2508).

I'm also getting the re-issue of the Gunslinger Girl (anime) OST (http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=MJCD-20073), since I missed out on it the first time around.

A light month so far, at least for anime/manga... I spent FAR too much last month. Annoyingly over half of it on shipping and commission...

UFO Robo Grendizer vols 5 & 6
Great Mazinger 5

Intrigued by reports of "Zipang" so picking up the R1 of vol 1 S/h.

R1 - Gatchaman vol 4 (s/h again - ordered 5,6,7, totally forgot 4...d'oh!)

Manga: Shintani Kaoru's "Phantom Burai" (12 vols) which should be shipping in a week or so along with a nice set of "Best of Japanese SF" short story collections from the 70's, all courtesy of Yahoo auctions and my ever-helpful 3rd party bidder... (The latter set includes the 1972 volume, in which I finally get my hands on Matsumoto's "Sexaroid in the Dinosaur Zone"... ;-))

Currently, my R2 spending is kept at bay by quite a bit.
When I have a job, i might cut it loose, but probably not /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Back to topic, I am following one show right now.
I am patiently waiting for Volumes 3 & 4 of Witchblade.

When I do have more fund, I'm considering Ah! My Goddess TV: Sorezore no Tsubasa and some Suzumiya. /images/graemlins/cool.gif

If you can't tell I tend to lose track of time easily. /images/graemlins/wink.gif
Here's hoping they put a little more effort into the Negima! OVA than the previous television series.

Here's what I picked up in October:

Kodomo no Omocha R2:
Shougakusei Hen: Vols 2-12
Chuugakusei Hen: Vols 2-11

Thanks Wrath of the Njr, for posting that these were going out of print (I'm collecting the R1s but I absolutely love this show and wanted the original opening on the first few volumes, also I don't think Funimation has licensed all of the episodes and I want to make sure that I have a complete set).

Also thanks littleharlock, for recommending Masato who helped me pick up a couple of volumes I was unable to get independently.

I also ordered (and received) Honey & Clover II Vol 1.

That's good news - Kodocha deserves a full release.

I guess the info in another post (http://www.animeondvd.com/blog/?p=126) saying that Funimation had only licensed the first 51 episodes and had an option on the second 51 was inaccurate. It was also mentioned in this VA interview (http://www.dvdvisionjapan.com/kodochainter.html), but that was back in 2005, and obviously the situation could have changed since then.

This blog post (http://www.tv.com/kodocha/show/24129/blog.html) reported that Funimation stated at Anime Expo that they were only committed for the first 51 episodes - but I wasn't there, so I can't be sure. This page (http://www.tv.com/kodocha/show/24129/summary.html?full_summary=1) from the same site says that releasing past episode 51 would be dependent on sales, but that is probably just a restatement of the blog post.

I'm glad you heard that Funimation would finish Kodocha. Episode 51 would be an odd place to stop the series. Was it an official announcement or did Lance post it somewhere?
