Mizuho Kazami, Please Teacher vs. Aisha Clanclan, Outlaw Star - MIZUHO!!

DEJIKO, DI GI CHARAT vs. Maj. Motoko Kusanagi, Ghost in the Shell - Now this is an impressive matchup.

Lafiel, Crest of the Stars vs. Guu, Hare + Guu - as is this. This was by far the hardest to vote for, possibly in this whole second round. I like Lafiel more as a character. She's clearly inhuman because, well, she's... not huamn /images/graemlins/sweat000.gif Guu, on the other hand, is just... god I don't know. I think Guu gets it for sheer fuckedupness. Sorry Lafiel ;_;

Mizuho Kazami (Please Teacher) vs. <font color="blue">Aisha Clanclan</font> (Outlaw Star) - Aisha, easily. She beats Mizuho in this category in terms of both looks and personality.

In potentially one of the biggest upset of the tourny so far pool leader mad super genius Washu Hakubi, Tenchi Muyo is trailing the winless sweet horned alien Lum, Urusei Yatsura. It was thought the mother daughter combo of Washu and Ryoko, Tenchi Muyo! was a shoe-in for the finals as long as they didn't face off in the three rounds. Can Lum shock the world or will Washu get her mind off her experments long enough to win this matchup?

In another super tight race between two undefeated players, battle droid Mahoro, Mahoromatic and funky crazy alien Haruko Haruhara, FLCL don't seem to given an inch to each other. Of course such a loss would greatly damage their chances at the finals so it is quite a desprate contest.

The rest of the pool seem to be going as predicted with close battle between the undefeateds and the winless. With some serious curb stomping by pool leaders over some hapless stiffs.

Honestly, I just don't see the Major as a good example of "inhuman". Not in any sense of the work that really matters to me. She is more human than most non-cyborg characters in most anime series. I might call her close to non-human, but not inhuman.

To me, inhuman is more about character, and not cybernetic bodies. Someone that doesn't care about other people, or would act in an incomprehensible way. Inhuman is very much like devilish. That's why I chose Aisha.

I can understand that Motoko is a VERY popular character, and I'd guess that her votes are more about the personality than he actual fit in the archetype.

If course, you can figure inhuman any way you want. I just chose it the way I did.

For most of the manga, her brain and spinal cord is still her original human parts. Her body is completely artificial, though. I can't comment on the SAC series, as I've only watched the first disc so far.

I really liked the Motoko in the manga, but I'm less than completely happy about her translation to the anime.
