Was the PGSM live action OVAs which included "Sailor V Tanjo", (Minako's character before Sailor Venus) as good as, or better than, the PGSM TV series? How many volumes of Sailor V were released?
As these adventures were never made into anime, I'm interested to see if they are close to the manga.

[/ QUOTE ]There was only one (30min ish) such OVA (the only other PGSM OVA is set about 4 years after the series). If you liked PGSM, then act 0 is a must (but surely by now any PGSM fans will have seen it?). If you don't like PGSM, then Act Zero won't appeal. It really isn't about Sailor V as such, and is full of "in jokes" about PGSM, not to mention the Shittenou actors cameoing as four police officers. All wonderful stuff if you love PGSM, but not worth watching if you never made it through PGSM.

Yeah... It's fun for PGSM fans, particularly Minako fans, but it doesn't have much to do with the manga's Sailor V origin story. (FWIW, it's significantly better than the "Special Act" set 4 years after the series. That's fanservice fluff done badly, where Act Zero is fanservice full done well =)
