Hmm...I actually don't know.
But it is KNOWN that Deucalion is Tens of THOUSANDS of Kilometers long/tall
Do we have stats on you know who's final form?

Not really, but it shouldn't be hard to estimate. I'd guess smaller than Deucalion, though. (Gunbuster 2 and KG spoiler:) seeing as she's not that much taller than the Earth, while the planet had to fit pretty comfortably inside Deucalion to allow for that transformation.

The SDF-1 Macross, if you consider it a mecha, is 1200 meters tall.

*sigh*
Lets put this bluntly.
The Deucalion is basically the same thing as the Macross, only 32 THOUSAND times larger.

I'm not sure if the Gunbuster 3 should count. It wasn't really a mecha so much as a mobile bomb the size of (well larger than of course) Jupiter. /images/graemlins/sweat000.gif

Wait, are we talking about Buster Machine 3 from Gunbuster, or Buster Machine No. 7 From Diebuster?

Ah, I was thinking of the Buster 3. Since I've never seen Gunbuster 2 (didn't like the new designs, so I didn't bother to watch it).

Actually quite a bit smaller. They had to compress Jupiter a lot to turn it into a bomb, after all. Just throwing a planet at the monsters wouldn't have done much.

Eh, I might watch it eventually. I just don't feel like shelling out money for another Gainax cash drain. Maybe if I find some R3s or if it ever gets picked up.

That's right. Buster Machine 3 was comparable in size to the Moon, while Machine 7 (fully assembled) was comparable in size to the Earth.

I might only be 105 Meters tall and Gunbuster is 95 meters taller, but I destroyed the Universe (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_Runaway_Ideon) /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

And we thank you for it. That universe got annoying really quickly.
In Tenchi Muyo, there was a spaceship that could carry a galaxy. Not a robot, I know, but either that ship was huge or that galaxy was tiny.
There was also a spaceship in Battle Athletes Victory that contained an entire solar system.

Actually, I just re-watched it and it's 80,000+ Kilometers, so I'd say that takes the cake because I can't remember anything bigger. Except mabey the Robotech Mobile Fotress Satelite, but that wasn't a mech so.....

Sorry, I've never seen Kiddy Grade and there's nothing about that mecha on Wikipedia. Could you provide some pictures or something? Now I'm curious.

In Tenchi Muyo, as well all know, Jurian ships carry the internals of the ship in subspace, so even though that ship held a galaxy, that galaxy was held in subspace. So it doesn't count.

I have a very hard time believing that it would even be possible to build something that big, let alone anything that we could call a functioning mecha.
Hell, even at only slightly bigger than a kilometer, the SDF isn't even that functional as a robot.
I's say we should throw out the rediculously large and impractical (if not impossible), and get more to actual single-pilot mechs. Ok, maybe you can have more than one pilot, but something that might fit inside, or maybe on the deck of an aircraft carrier.
The two that stick in my mind as being very large would be between Big-O, and an eva. You can discount the eva, as even though it can be piloted, it's not really a robot or a mecha.

Even with that restriction, both of those are totally dominated by Gunbuster and Ideon.

That does throw out the Deucalion (which is for all intents and purposes a robot-shaped battleship), but still leaves Buster Machine 7, which is an operational melee combat machine. Yeah, it's totally ridiculous that anything that big could actually function as a humanoid robot, but the same goes for Gundams, not to mention the things like Gunbuster and Ideon.
