Who's Your Favorite Strawberry?

So I just finished watching Strawberry Marshmallow, and I came away being a fan of a different girl than I was expecting to going in.

Before I ever watched the show, from looking at the artwork I had guessed that I was going to be an Ana fan, but as I was watching, Matsuri crept up and passed all of them as my favorite of the bunch. Her shyness and fragility just won me over. /images/graemlins/catgirl0.gif They're all fun to watch, but in the end I'm a Matsuri fan!

Blue eyes, long slender legs, and pure white skin have to go with Ana. As much as the other girls are cute in their own way, I get the most chuckles from Ana trying to act like a gajin while slipping into more comfortable Japanese culture. I debated whether or not to put her on as a choice... I like Nobue too, but I thought it was apples and oranges comparing her to the others. If it's any consolation, I consider Nobue the ringleader more than Miu, despite all of Miu's efforts to steal the spotlight. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

With all that uhh... pizzaz and energy, she totally owns and commands screen time and stuff.

And her unpredictableness, kinda became predictable in a way towards the end (I mean this in a good way given that it means that I actually became really familiar with the character towards the end)

More specifically, you just know what she'll do when you observe her long enough (like that moment at the last episode with the milk)... yeah, totally awesome character.

I'm partial to Ana myself. She's rather cute. Plus her problem with trying to speak English is kind of fun. I do like the other girls as well. Ah poor Chika. As of this post, she has no votes.

I do have to say that I'm very impressed with Kylie Beaven who voices Matsuri. For being a seven year old, she did a remarkable job. I can't wait to see what else she's capable of. /images/graemlins/happy.gif

Between the extremely difficult choice of either Anna or Matsuri, I give Matsuri the slight edge. What she lacks in physical beauty like Anna, she makes up for with that adorable personality of hers /images/graemlins/catgirl0.gif. I also consider her to be the most moe out of the four girls. Miu is a fine character too and makes up most of the comic relief in the show but she'd most likely annoy me if I had to put up with a character like her in real life. And although Chika does have her purpose in the show, I just find her to be kind of dull in general. I am also wondering why Nobue was not included in this poll. I'd probably rank her in third place as of now, having not finished the show yet.

Which reminds me... I was actually quite fond that the show categorized its characters:

-Ana is the pretty foreigner who can't speak English
-Miu is the... uh... energetic one
-Matsuri is the cry baby
-Chika is the one without a personailty (I mean this in a good way)
-Nobue is the compulsive smoker who likes really cute girls

...

Yeah... they poke fun at it, I thought, which was really cool.

Though... I'm working under the assumption that Takuya Sato (or whoever... I'm pretty sure it's him) is still directing... I really like his surprisingly understated approach.

This was asked earlier in this thread (http://forums.animeondvd.com/showthreaded.php?Cat=1&Number=1457098&page=0&view= collapsed&sb=5&o=&vc=1) as well... I wasn't sure whether I should have added her as a choice or not, but now it's looking like I should have. I have to vote for Miu - an great combination of cute and mean.

My second choice would be Chika.
