The link to the art box isn't working. Here (http://www.rightstuf.com/1-800-338-6827/catalogmgr/5qLI-SihrNYpLGe-1L/browse/item/69762/4/0/0) is TRSI's product page. I own this title, but haven't had time to play it.

There actually is a dating-sim available with English subs. Casual Romance Club (http://www.rightstuf.com/1-800-338-6827/catalogmgr/5qLI-SihrNYpLGe-1L/browse/item/61169/4/0/0) was developed as a bilingual release, though only a small effort was made to market it overseas. It's entertaining and more challenging than most b-games.

Got the adult material screen from TRSI.... looks like I'll have to wait until I get home to look at this.

I didn't realize that was a dating sim, and thought it was just a regular visual novel one. "Dating sim" has been abused so much by english web sites and the like that I automatically assume that it's something else. From what I can see it's dubbed both in Japanese AND English - which is another first. Can you play it with Japanese voices and English text?

And an FYI - from the manufacturer's web page it appears that an H anime was made based on another game in the series: Houkago Mania Club.

A lot of anime these days seems to come from Ero games or dating sim games. I'm still surprised that we haven't seen a KimiKiss anime in the works. Things like Tsukihime and Fate are ex termly popular, but then you have the Ero game/dating sim that is everywhere, To Heart. I see the characters and game in tons of doujins, sites, and it seems to be a fan favorite. I'm all for more games(come on Fate and Tsukihime) being released, but in so many of these Ero games, I'd rather look at the CG then go through the story.

Most games these days have a skip option you can set where it would either skip everything, or just skip things you've already read. So if you really don't want to read the story - you can. You can also typically hold down ctrl to manually skip through.

To Heart recently got a remake, along with a couple of anime remakes as well which is why you see it everywhere.

You can tell the true nature of a game when it has a "hands free mode" /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif. But I have nothing as Ero games or dating sims as one could catagorize Fate and Tsukihime as one or the other.

Don't know about Fate/Stay Night, but Tsukihime is a visual novel, not a dating sim. It's also UUUGLY. I was really thankful about the way the anime improved the character designs.

Well you have to take into perspective when it was made and how it was made. Tsukihime was a "doujin game" sold in limited numbers at Comiket. Of course people loved it, and Type Moon became a hit. Their first commercial release was Fate/Stay Night. So when it came out, limited time, limited budget, I liked it from the start. Of course I still think that the anime is gorgeous visually. I always hear rumblings of Type Moon's next project being a Tsukihime remake.

As I recall, you can select any combination of Japanese or English, voice or text. Dialogue is fully voiced in Japanese and the first sentence or so can be heard in English, but the seiyuu read from phonetic scripts and the result is pure Engrish. Still, it sounds kind of cute if you're into accents. /images/graemlins/catgirl0.gif
