Ok so they have shown all of the inuyasha series on the cartoon network here in the US a couple of times I think now. I was very disappointed with the ending to the series even if they were going to continue with movies. The fact that the manga is still going on doesn't excuse it really..they could have easily just decided to end it. How long is the manga anyway...? Does it win the award for the longest running manga? Do they ever kill Naraku in the manga and go on or does it become again a dead horse they continue to beat like in the series?

Oh as well if you need someone to review the last dvds for you I can (if you can send them to me I can send them back afterwards). I won't give the content much of a good score gets old real quick...

1: The manga just started what will be vol. 49. The anime ended at just about the end of vol. 36.

2: Not even close. Inuyasha isn't even the longest title running in Shounen Sunday. Detective Conan (aka Case Closed) is somewhere around vol. 55 these days.

3: As the series is not over, Naraku is still alive. We have only one villain that is "the biggest, baddest villain" as opposed to new "biggest, baddest villain" just popping out of the woodwork like some other series I could name.

As far as why the anime ended the way it did, that was a decision made by the production company, presumebly in the case that production resumes again in some form.
