As found by accident in Fencedude's Haruhi S2 thread, it looks like Zero no Tsukaima is also getting a season two treatment.

IT was almost a certain thing, considering that they only used one third of the material available from the novels.
The show did pretty well rating wise so this was not a thing of IF but of WHEN.

As I said, I'm much more excited about this than the Haruhi news. ZNT is my second favorite unlicensed show right now.

I'm worried it's gonna be awkward going into the second season since they tried to cram so much into the first. We've already had a "war"(the shortest war in the history of mankind, but a war), the main bad guys seem to have lost everything, and Louise and Saito have done everything they can to show their feelings short of a full love confession(although I'd love to see that boat scene shown in the OP).

What they really, really need to do (this also applies to BECK if more is ever animated) is pretend the ending didn't happen. Pick up right where the episode before last left off, and continue on right from there. I would so love that. I know they can do it right (besides the ending, I loved the show), if they just give themselves the chance.

I bet Louise remains a total bitch through this entire season too, with a "new girl" fawning over her pet dog to spark her irritations. C'mon anime industry, I dare you to prove me wrong! *slithers away*

The first season was nice, but suffered from being too short and thus having some rushed elements. Hopefully this second season will fix that problem. I also hope for more development of some of the cast members this time around.

Ah it's good to have that for confirmation's sake. Now the main thing left is waiting for information on the second season. Such as how many episodes it will be. Granted the easy guess is 13, but sometimes second seasons can be longer, but then again they can also be shorter.

Does it say when the second season's going to air?

Doesn't even give a clue, unfortunately. In addition to the official announcemnt of the second season, it just talks about another season of the radio show, and some limited items to be sold at Comiket.

Good to see official word and all. I'll be eagerly awaiting it, to see if it can pick up the charred, twisted pieces from one of my least favorite endings ever, and hopefully watch it regain the magic it had earlier on.

Yes I really liked the first Season of the show. I hope they start the second season really soon. I wonder if Spoiler:

they will show Saito giving back the ring that Cromwell had back to that water lady (boy that villian sure lasted a while or weak leader whatever you want to call him.) or if Tabitha keeps it for herself I never seen her giving it back to Saito she was just standing or sitting Admiring it. But also I want to see more of Zero Louise using that Void magic. Sorry for talking about season one in this Season 2 thread. But I have seen no other forum if remotely talking about this series. Thanks

If you want to do spoilers, you can put hide tags around it: TEXT HERE

It looks like this: I'm a spoiler!

There was a Season one thread somewhere but it's probably buried by now. You'd need to do a search for it. But i's not a big deal since anyone reading this news should have seen season one anyway. Or should know they might encounter spoilers... but yeah, the hide tag will do what you want.

Wow so it's a summer series airing during the divine and sacred month. *Absolutely no hint of bias here* On a side note Geneon so needs to use the Panties title. :>
