Which Max Payne game is best, the original or 2?

2, unless you want assface max.
2 had a deeper and more scinematic feel. 1 was great as an introduction but fell short, the sequel definitely was superior.
Not to mention late goodbye is one of the best credits songs.

I'm one of the minority that prefers the original instead of the sequel, mostly because I thought they were trying too hard to be cool with graphics in the second one.
I didn't even finish the second game as proof on how much I liked the first one.

I'm gonna have to go with 2, seeing as how I worked on it /images/graemlins/happy.gif

I enjoyed 2 more, though it felt a little too short...but the gunplay was just fun to play with. The Elements of Style mod throws some effects from FEAR in there for muddled mess of a good time. /images/graemlins/wink.gif (On EoS: While the screen-shaking effect is cool, the dodgeshoots make it too hard to tell where the hell you're aiming, especially if "Daigo" decides to do a flip /images/graemlins/relief1.gif)

That's your problem not mine ;b
I think look and feel, 2 captured what one tried to much better.

2 was my favorite.

I liked both, except for the fact 2 initially wouldn't work on my PC because of the copy protection hating my DVD drive. >_<
