cool!

Episode two of NDB, and episodes one of Ergo proxy & Rumbling hearts (even if the latter is available online from Funimation's website)

Some interesting features there, looking foward to reading the Yui Makino spotlight, as well as the rest of it in general.

They're T-shirts from a new clothing company called Urban Alchemist that have the phrases "I want a Seme" and "I want an Uke" on them. I don't follow yaoi (obviously, since I'm a guy  ), but I guess that seme and uke are the two main character types in the genre. They only have the two shirts right now, but they do plan on adding T-shirts with more general anime themes, along with RPG-themed and mecha T-shirts. If you want to check them out, here's their website:

As for the sampler DVD, I'm anxious to see Rumbling Hearts since I didn't get a chance to watch it at SugioCon last month. I already saw Episode 2 of NDB, and I might give Ergo Proxy a look.

Can't wait to pick this one up. Does the Official Art of TSR include Mao's slit dress from episode 5? ;)

There's a small image of her in an ankle-length dress (and wearing a wig), but I can't tell if it's slit any and I haven't seen eps 5 yet.

I discovered an error. In the column for the Rozen Maiden Ouverture story, the names for the twins and Canaria are mixed up. Canaria is labeled Suiseiseki, Souseiseki is labeled Canaria, and Suiseiseki is labeled Souseiseki.

Canaria is labeled Suiseiseki, Souseiseki is labeled Canaria, and Suiseiseki is labeled Souseiseki.

How dare they defile the Holiness that is Desu! Mixing up the twins is bad enough, but mislabeling Kanaria as Her Desu-ness? Unforgivable!

Awesome news on the mag. I rarely frequent ADV's site or the NewType site, and love the mag despite the price I pay every year. I've been super eager to learn more about the new EVA series, as well as previewinng Ergo Proxy. I want to get the series, but find it hard to pull the trigger with a tight budget and hiding it from the wife. Since it's x-mas I've been sneaking things inside orders I've placed online...

Looks like this is a good issue this month. I can't wait to get my copy and what the DVD sample episodes.

Okay issue. Not enough on the anime figures though. And since I'm not into Guyver, the centerfold really wasn't for me.

So would it be reasonable to assume the NGE feature is six pages of breathless hype with no real info (or at least nothing that hasn't been available online for weeks), and not worth spending 13 bucks on? :P

I don't know what's been available online elsewhere for weeks, but the relevant text in the piece boils down to less than 1 page and provides only a small amount of superficial info. So no, I wouldn't pay $13 for just this ...
