View Full Version : What games did you get this month (November)?
I was rather busy after my October 31 purchase, so I only grabbed two games, and they were
• Final Fantasy III DS
• Final Fantasy V GBA
I passed on the Wii for now, but still intend to pick it up after Christmas with some games.

Just FF XII.
To which I made it all the way to the end and now my PS2 only gives me a "Disc Read Error" whenever I try to finish it. Not for any other games, noooo, just for FFXII...which doesn't have so much as a speck of dust on it. Yay.

Not too much:
Canis Canem Edit (UK PS2)
Steambot Chronicles (UK PS2)
I might've gotten the former the end of last month. I can't remember, and I can't be bothered to go back to the old forums to see if it arrived in time. Well, it's pretty awesome anyway, so I see no harm in listing it twice :D

Metal Gear Solid 3: Substitance
This is the first game I've bought since Disgaea 2 a few months ago.
This is the first game where I'm going to actualy play through it multiple times because it's so damn fun. Extra sneaky or in your face style. Plus calling up on how "x" tastes always gives me a good laugh. Shame you can't eat dog. :P I've already played through this before last year (the original MGS3), but I'm having tons of fun with this now. This should do me till FFVI advance comes out. :P

Well after months of buying no video games, I took the plunge and bought a few. I also had a bunch of Amazon.com gift certificates thanks to my Credit Card Rewards. :)
Anyhoo, I did average prices as I took advantage of the Buy 2 get 1 free sale and my sister bought one game not listed here on one of those deals.
PS2:
Kingdom Hearts $19.99 - new
Gundam: Zionic Front $6 (averaged)
Viewtiful Joe 2 $6 (averaged)
Rumble Roses $9 (averaged)
La Pucelle: Tactics $6 (averaged)
Wild Arms 3 $9 (averaged)
Total is approx $59 for 6 games. Not bad at all. :)
Its unlikely my last 2 games will be here in the next few days (or even be in the shops, stupid late delvers) so heres my lot for the month -
All UK, unless stated blah blah.
Pro Evolution Soccer 6 (Xbox 360)
Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged volume 1 (Xbox 360)
FIFA 06 (Xbox 360)
King Kong (Xbox 360)
Need for Speed Carbon Collector's Edition (Xbox 360)
Gears of War Limited Collector's Edition (Xbox 360)
I guess you can say it was a 360 month!
Should of got Naruto Clash of Ninja European Version (Gamecube) on Friday, but it seems the delivery was late, so it will end up being in my December stuff. Along with, of course, my Wii :D

Just one game:
Sonic Mega Collection (GC) - $6 used
And I finally found a Game Boy Player! At last I've completed my 3-prong quest to soup up my Gamecube - the other two were a Wavebird and a Memory Card 1019. Too cheap to pay full retail for them, so I've been buying them as I find them used - payed around $55 total for all three.
Been playing Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis in large screen glory. RAWK ON!

And I finally found a Game Boy Player!
I just sold my Gameboy Player earlier this week to someone for $15. In person, not online. However, I only bought the Gameboy Player for $10 from someone else used, so it's not like I lost anything. I found I liked playing these games on my GBA or DS better than bothering with putting 'em in the GB Player.

Meh, Sega Classics Collection is worth the money if you can get it for $5-10 ($5 here at Meijer last year). I found that the "newer" versions of of Fantasy Zone, Outrun, Columns, and Space Harrier were worthy of my play time and actually just as good as the originals (almost for Harrier anyway).
As soon as I secure a Wii, Capcom Classics Collection Vol.2 and Sega Genesis Collection (Buy each title on it for $8 a piece on the Wii VC? Yeah right, you can keep that shit Sega) for the PS2 will be my very next purchases.
I share your love for those compilations, Chac. Especially when I have a couple Saturn-like 6-button controllers and arcade sticks (same one I use for my GC) for my PS2. ;)

I need to grab a Saturn pad for my PS2 at some point... I've had a chance to use one and yeah, there'd be nothing better for Genesis games. My plate's already full for the moment though so I guess the controllers will have to wait.

Yes, the new 3D graphics aren't the greatest (PS1 graphics at best), but I really like the new music scores.

Still haven't started any of them yet, beyond testing to make sure they work - I've been playing the US version of Scenario 1 again first to make sure I can get all the characters and items in S2 and S3 (not to mention reminding me what the heck's going on in the story).

Coming attractions: From Gamestop's Thanksgiving sale I ordered $15 Gamecube titles Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Chibi-Robo, along with regular priced Summon Night Swordcraft Story 2 for GBA, but it looks like they aren't going to arrive untill tomorrow (so close). Not very many in the end; most of the stuff I ordered last month turned up in November, though (although I've only finished Xenosaga III out of that lot).
November's haul:
An Xbox360 - I'm hoping it's an investment for the future as there's actually very little I want on it at the moment, but never mind...
Kameo - almost finished this. It's got some very frustrating control issues, but otherwise isn't too bad.
Enchanted Arms - haven't played much of this to give an opinion other than it being pretty average but pretty..., well, pretty.
Jeanne D'Arc - a solid, well made strategy RPG; I haven't got far enough to really test its depth but it's decent enough. Plus it has an evil Englishman called Brentford in and a demonically possessed King Henry with a freaky little cat doll; what's not to like?
Tales of Destiny got delayed so that won't be here until this month; probably won't be picking up much as it's Christmas and all...

I nabbed the top spot from Johnny this month... well, at least in my mind. To everyone else, I s'pose this makes me second best yet again... my B'day was on the 29th and since I'm getting up there in age (99), I got lotsa stuff (knowing people pays off, apparently.)
All games bought new:
November
Call of Duty 3 (Xbox 360) - $0 (Gift)
Capcom Classics Collection Vol. 2 (Xbox) - $20
Contra: Shattered Soldier - $17
Dodonpachi Daioujou (Import) - $0 (Gift)
Final Fantasy III - $0 (Gift)
Final Fantasy V Advance - $0 (Gift)
Gears of War: Limited Edition - $0 (Gift)
Guitar Hero II - $50
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Wii) - $50
Mushihime-Sama - $0 (Gift)
Power Stone Collection - $0 (Gift)
Sega Genesis Collection (PS2) - $15
Trauma Center: Second Opinion - $50
November Total: $202
That's a fuckin' lot. And that doesn't include the Wii, the Wii Component Cables, or the Wii Classic Controller that I got. I might be playing games for a while.
