I'm a big fan of point 'n' click adventure games and for years I've wanted to play Riven. However, I was annoyed beyond belief when I tried to play the CD Rom version as I had to swap the disc every couple of minutes when I moved to different islands. Has the game ever been released on a DVD, in English, anywhere in the world? The recent UK 'Myst Ultimate Compilation' still had Riven on CD Rom, much to my chagrin.

Yes, there was a DVD release; a friend of mine was a massive fan of the series and sold me his CD version when the DVD came out. Don't know where you might get it.

You want this. (http://www.amazon.com/Myst-10th-Anniversary-DVD-Edition/dp/B0000AFWWH) It has Myst, Riven, and Exile, but I think that's as good as it gets. I don't think Riven came out on DVD separately.

Cool, thanks. I'll be hitting eBay for that. :neko:

I can always pick up Revelations and End of Ages separately - I just want to play Riven first! :frog:

Ah the Myst games, even though I need a walkthrough just to get me through the entire game, I find them to be a unique gaming experience.

In fact I've got the first one for the PC, PS1 and PSP, Riven for PC and PS1, and Myst 3 for the PS2....I really need to get around to getting the last 2 games....maybe I should look into that new collection of all 5 games
