C'mon FUNi! I know you can do better! The movie rocks, But what about a limited edition with some extras and a nice box?

Yeah, it would be nice if there was an LE version. That's why I haven't pre-ordered yet. I'm waiting to see if something shows up and where it's going to be. For all we know, there could be a B&M exclusive in the works.

Nice cover art pic (http://www.rightstuf.com/cgi-bin/catalogmgr/W8mFc10dF7B4SLe=uc/browse/item/72462/4/0/0).

I already pre-ordered my copy via Amazon, but if there will be something better... I will replace the order in an instant!

Maybe with the very bad reviews this movie got they decided that it wasn't worth making a LE for it.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. My buying decisions are not always made based on reviews, especially when... the inevitable comparison to Nausicaa is made.

Also, this film made it to some important film festivals so it can't really be bad.

So, I'm waiting to see what else FUNi has in store for this title.

Hey Guys!
On my radar I show Origin with a release date of 2/20/07. Currently I don't have any info on a Limited Edition release.

Thanks FUNiRepBlue! :) Please keep us posted in case one does show up. KOKIA's OP song is amazing! The ED song was no slouch either.

Dude, Revenge of the Sith played at Cannes... Besides, out of the two film festivals I know Agito played at, one is an animation-specific one (Annecy) and the other a trashy cult festival in Canada.

Origin really isn't a good film at all. I'm still buying it because it's beautiful and has awesome music, and it's at least fun to watch unlike Brave Story IMHO, but it's really not that great.

Agreed. I saw this movie at my anime club before it was licensed, and although I myself liked it, I could easily tell it wasn't a big seller. Especially because I found the acting to be very lackluster.

Shame. Shame. No insulting other festivals. I was referring to Annecy and Sitges.

I can't comment on the Waterloo Festival for Animated Cinema since I know nothing about it. Their roster (http://www.wfac.ca/films) for this year looked very impressive. I have a feeling that this one ain't a slouch either from that roster.

So, I'll still maintain that festival titles are not inherently bad. They may just have a hard time finding a target audience.
