Tales of Destiny for the PS2 is a remake of a PS Tales of Destiny.

The graphics got a makeover and the battles now have insane battle combos.

I really this game is released on America, but since it's 2D this make not be certain.

If the game ever does come out here, I'm definitely likely to go for it. As it would be the best way to actually replay Tales of Destiny. I guess at least I can be hopeful some will put up gameplay videos from Youtube.

Which are hopefully of people actually playing normally and not crap like "Look at me I sharked my characters to level 9999999999999999. Watch as the most powerful boss does 0 damage to me and dies in one hit. Wait why are you bored by this video?".

Leon.........................

My first video game crush ^_^ . Though, nowadays, he's not really the type I like anymore but... still.... Leon....

*cough*

Putting that aside, I REALLY want this game to come out over here in the US. Beyond the nostalgia reasons (ToD was my first Tales game,) the gameplay just looks really fun.
Of course, Namco hasn't released a single sprite based Tales for the PS2 over here, so my hopes are pretty low. *weep*

Leon.........................

Huh? I don't remember him. Maybe it's because I was too busy paying attention to more important characters like well Chelsea. :) Sorry I just had to be evil, but yeah I love Chelsea and the hope to use her kind of motivated me to play Tales of Destiny. Ah Chelsea, you're not only a pretty girl. You also give a break from the sword worship of the game.

God... the sad thing about this...

I've still haven't finish the PS1 version of the game. :nervous: :nervous:
Not to mention needing to play Tales of Eternia and Tales of Symphonia (PS2) as well. :tired: :tired:
Guess I'm glad I finish one "Tales" game (Tales of the Abyss)

Don't you know it!
SCEA's policy on 2D games just blows. :tired:

When the US release comes out I'll be sure and pick it up. I loved Tales of Symphonia and I plan on getting the two PS2 Tales games as soon as I finish what I have.

I would be excited, but the chances of this getting a U.S. release are almost nil. As such, I don't even feel like watching the videos, since it will just make me depressed.

If Sony releases a Tales of Destiny game for the PS2 in English, I want it to be TOD2. Better a whole new game than a remake.

It has 2D characters and 3D backgrounds the same as Disgaea, so I don't see that as a problem. It will likely just be a Namco decision on whether it gets a U.S. release or not.

There's absolutely no chance this'll make it to the States, much like Destiny 2 and Rebirth.

Hence why I'm importing it. Tales games have such cliched anime plots the dialogue's hardly impossible, and it'll be worth it. My copy should turn up in a few days hopefully...

ToD2 is getting a PSP port, so there might still be hope.

So how many seiyuus did you guys/girls recognize? For me it was only Kikuko Inoue as the green haired girl(Philia Felice). I also thought that the pink haired one could be Aya Hisakawa but I guess I was wrong.

Yeah, I know that this is basically an old game. :)

Hmm, that could be cool. I certainly liked Tales of Symphonia and Tales of the Abyss. I've been meaning to check out Legendia but I never seem to have the money when I see it in stores.
