Planetes Collection

I just got mine in the mail today, and I haven't had a chance to check it out yet.
But from the looks of it they left the extra discs that came with the first three volumes out of this collection. I really thought they would be included based on pre-order descriptions, but I guess I was wrong.
I am a bit disappointed that I'll miss out on those extras. If I had known I would've gone for the singles instead. :(

Just a heads up to those of you thinking of picking up the collection.

As a obsessive Planetes fan, go buy the singles for cheap to! As for the extras, I wonder if Bandai put them on one disk like they did with the others. Planetes is a great show, my favorite in recent seasons. Everything clicks and you get this compelling tale not of "zomg giant mechs" but of actual people and their lives.

So enjoy Planetes, it's a great series. I only wish Bandai didn't push it out the door and gave it a box or something. The manga is pretty good to, but I prefer the series a little more. Lets hope they have some sort of OVA or second serious planned :cry:

Oh well, it's cheap. My copy is shipping today so no extras for me.

This is fun series that has good replay value. The extras add some flavor to it, much like they did in the manga. I'd advise waiting around for another BANDAI MEGA SALE from whoever to scoop up the singles.
