Anime producer The Right Stuf International is pleased to announce the release of To Heart, Vol. 1: New Feelings on February 27, 2007. Based on one of Japan's most popular games, To Heart follows childhood friends Akari and Hiroyuki, and their classmates, as they deal with life's everyday – and not-so-everyday – dramas. This tale of love, relationships and friendship has been a fan favorite since its 1999 Japanese television debut, and perceptive American fans may recognize the series from its numerous "cameos" in the best-selling Comic Party anime.
Available to U.S. audiences for the first time ever, Right Stuf’s release of To Heart features a complete video restoration of the entire 13-episode series.
In To Heart, Vol. 1: New Feelings:
Episode 1: "A Brand New Morning"
For as long as Akari can remember, she and Hiroyuki have always been friends. But with time, everything changes, and her feelings have turned into something more. As a new semester of high school begins, will the two childhood friends come closer together, or drift further apart?
Episode 2: "After School Incident"
Childish An Hour, Japan's most popular rock band, is coming to town - but the concert's completely sold out! Or is it? Masashi has managed to pick up two tickets, but deciding who gets to go turns into an unexpected test of friendship.
Episode 3: "In a Sunny Spot"
The quiet girl with the raven-colored hair… Serika Kurusugawa is a silent mystery. She's the only member of the school's Occult Club, her voice is soft as a whisper, and she doesn’t speak with anyone at school. What could this enigmatic girl possibly want with Hiroyuki?
Episode 4: "Shining Moment"
Small but full of spunk, Aoi's dream is to fight in the Extreme Martial Arts Tournament! She's even trying to start up an Extreme Club at school, but no one will give it a chance. She begins to lose hope.. but Hiroyuki might be able to help her discover what she’s truly fighting for.
Bonus DVD content includes:
Reversible cover, translation notes, line art gallery, character bios, scene access, Dolby Digital 2.0 stereo audio for English and Japanese Dialog, English subtitles, plus English on-screen translations.

doh 4 vol release with 4 eps on the 1st dvd?
dang that means the 2 part eps for ep 10 and ep 11 will be spread out over 2 dvds...
was hoping for a 3-3-3-4 release pattern if on 4 dvds.
wow $20 for each dvd?
edit... btw what about the omake (bonus shorts)? will they be spread out over 4 dvds or over 3 dvds or all at once with the last dvd?

It would so r0x0r if the TRSI-gang also included the other ED song Access as an extra.

Wooojjjjhhhoooooooooo and stuff and stuff. This is most awesomely righteously cool news and stuff. Especially for that SRP, I'm all over it. This is one I've been waiting a long time for. Can't wait for the whole series to be out so I can buy them all. :)

Did you get the latest RS catalog? It has a couple comparisons. The article also mentioned a Spring '07 timeframe so this is being released sooner than I expected.

Wow. You went through restoring the video and then price it at $20? I'm amazed. At that price I'm throwing that show in the next time I make a pre-order.

I got it but... I didn't even open it and tossed it. :(
I usually think of it as a "catalog" so anything I'd want I'd order on-line. Guess I should flip through it next time...
As someone who has been waiting for a US release for this series since it aired in Japan, I'm beyond words with my joy. Even though I've sworn not to start collecting another new series until I finish up a few more of the ones I'm currently picking up, there's no way I'm passing on picking up this series as it comes out.
I'm kinda glad that it's coming out on four dvds as the artwork for all seven covers can be used. And with that price it's not going really going to cost more than if it was only three dvds. I kinda hope there is a box with one of the other volumes, perhaps with volume 4?

Indeed, next time you should read the first few pages as they usually have interesting articles from TRSI staff. Then flip the the back of the book and clip out the coupons. THEN toss it. ;)

Since I forgot about it. Did they confirm that they have the omakes? It would make sense to already put some of these on the first disc IIRC.
And does the reversible cover look like this?

I would have figured that all that work you put into restoring this, it would have sold for the normal SRP everything else sells at.
To Heart was my first R2 DVD. I'll be double dipping.
I hope the colour is off on that cover image, it seems kind of yellow and over saturated to me...

Thank you so much TRSI! I love this series and I've been waiting for the R1 release. I know you guys had to do clean up work to the masters, and I'm sure it will have been all worth it with the upcoming release, especially since you picked up the bonus Omakes. This definitely made my day.

Lower price point hypothetically equals more sales to balance it out. It's working with me. The price point just changed this from a buy when there's a box set to a buy singles as released. If they had priced it at the usual $30, I wouldn't be picking it up.

Never was interested in this series, but this'll silence some of the "OMG TO HEART! HEEHEEHEE!" people on the board.
With that MRSP, and a 7+ RATING= Without a doubt safe, I won't pre-order (well, maybe) but I'll be checking this out.

Ditto. It will be interesting to compare the RS work with R2J & LDs.
So whoever lists this first gets my order.
I'll also be ordering Shingu, Tylor OVAs & Comic Party now :)

Chalk me up as one who'll be preordering this. The "Release Comic Party first" approach got me hook, line, and sinker.

That is also the image used on Volume 1 of the R2 Japanese release so that would be nice.

Nice extras nonetheless, and the price cannot be beat.
