I'm planning on buying an import US Nintendo Wii, now I don't know anything about the connectors or anything so I thought I would ask if anyone has imported one to the UK and will it work on a normal telly (not HD or Digital or flat panel or anything like that), it's not that my TV dosent work with NTSC it does, as I have a US non modified PS2 and a Japanese unmodified Nintendo Game Cube, but these new systems seem a tad complicated, and I wondered if it does work what about the controller will that work on a normal TV (not HD or digital).

As long as your TV has NTSC support you'll be fine. If it's in any way modern, it'll have the component sockets in the front and one or more SCART sockets in the back.
No issues with the controller or anything either. Plus, of course, you get games earlier and cheaper and all VC games will run in 60Hz.
