I just noticed that Netflix is offereing a Watch Now streaming video service. For every dollar of monthly plan you have, you can get 1 hour of video per month. You do have to download their viewing software and its only good on PC's running XP, SP2. No word on the video/audio quality they send you.
This could be nice if you want to check out something quick. Unfortunately, thier anime offerings are very thin. So thin, in fact, I can list what they have on the Anime and Animation Watch Now page:
Ninja Scroll
Street Fighter Alpha
Black Jack: The movie
Sin: The Movie
Martian Successor Nadesico: The Motion Picture: Prince of Darkness
Perfect Blue
Thats it (for the animated titles)
I am always suspicious about downloading specialized viewers, although I am sure its their attempt to keep people from doing anything naughty with the downloaded video.
So, anyone tried this out?
