Did anyone buy any of the later releases from G-Collections thru Right Stuf?

If so, is it the original Press versions that has V-Mate on them or the newer versions that has V-Mate removed altogether? The images on Right Stuf has the covers from the original release that has V-Mate.

The games that has or had V-Mate are the following...

Figures of Happiness
Hitomi - My Stepsister
Let's Meow Meow!
Pick Me Honey!
The Sagara Family

You can download a patch from G-Collections to remove v-mate. You can go to http://support.g-collections.com/ and enter in the v-mate code to download the patch.

To answer your original question, I don't know if Right Stuf is selling the old version or the new version.

Can't confirm on every title or copy that may be lying around their warehouse but my versions of Hitomi and Figures bought from RS which were in the case of Figures bought at least a year or so ago both were copies with vmate already removed.

I bought Figures of Happiness from TRSI last April and it came with the virtual mate.

yeah i know you can download a patch... problem is i dont even want to install the game with vmate on it... i have bought all their other games and stopped once it had vmate.

patch/hack doesnt matter to me, dont want it on my system.

got let's meow a week ago... and it was the new version. took a gamble on that, was pretty sure it would be the new version since that is one of the better selling titles from GC.

but it seems figures of happiness still has both versions floating around in their warehouse.

Actually all the current versions of those games don't need the old v-mate patch as they won't come with a v-mate code but if you want to be sure then the following note should be on the back of the box along with the lack of the internet connection required notice on the front cover.
Note: The previous version required an internet connection to install and play. This version no longer requires online verification and can be installed on any standard PC
That came from the copy of hitomi my stepsister that I got 2 months ago and even though it wasn't from rightstuf the site I got it from still had the notice that the original virtual mate system was still in use so simply put if the box is as I described it then all you have to do during installation is to make sure you don't install the virtual mate loader (which for some unknown reason is still on the discs)

I think the V-mate version would be better because it won't require you to insert the CD-ROM whenever you play, provided you have the patch. It's not as if it takes up much memory anyways.

Actually my non V-mate version of hitomi my stepsister doesn't need the CD-ROM inserted for it to play
