After that killer round 5 (scoreboard to date here (http://www.geocities.com/dunno001/AD07/board.html)), we'll start round 7. Let's be ready; I'll put round 8 back on the sidebar for more score rapage. (Is that even a word?)

The school day is now over and the girls decide to go out for a little snack. Haruka suggests they go to the Sky Temple Restaurant. “I want to see how Takayuki is doing and hope he gets to serve us today,” Haruka told Osaka. Becky and Mutsuki decide to join Haruka and Osaka for this trip as the other six girls have made their way to the bar for some beers. The four arrive at Sky Temple and Haruka is in luck. Takayuki is working today and he is happy to see her with some friends. The four each order a parfait for themselves and they are happy.
Meanwhile, over at another table, a couple is complaining about getting the wrong dish to their waitress. The waitress is bitching at the man, oblivious to what he can do to her if she were to push him far enough. “I ordered a strawberry cheesecake, and you brought me a plate of beef stroganoff. Fix it or that lovely face of yours will look like this,” the man requested. The waitress tells the man, “I wish you would step in cat crap.” At that point, the woman with him is holding a bottle of perfume and tells the waitress “You will be the one stepping in cat crap once you get a whiff of this. I would fix this order before I decide to uncork this bottle.” As the waitress continues to shout at the couple, the girls worry that something will go horribly wrong inside the restaurant. Haruka is about ready to intervene when Takayuki shows up to pull the uncouth waitress out of the dining room and fix the man’s order. She is glad to see things turn out well and without much incident.
Mutsuki then receives a phone call from Washu, who is asking Mutsuki to order some desserts from Sky Temple and have them delivered to her at the bar, where the rest of the group is. Mutsuki goes ahead and places the order and the four are ready to leave when Mutsuki realizes that the bar Washu and the others are at is a very dangerous hangout. “I wish there was some way to deliver our desserts to Washu. I would rather not go to that bar and risk getting hurt,” Mutsuki told the girls. The couple overheard their little problem and told Mutsuki that they run a transport service. Mutsuki asks the man, “Would you please transport our desserts to the bar where the rest of our group is right now?” The man is puzzled by the request, as he doesn’t think the job will be fun enough for him. The woman with him looks interested in taking on this job. “I really think it will be fun for you to take on this job. That bar is full of some of the rowdiest, nastiest cutthroats you will ever see. I’m sure they will quench your thirst for fun,” the woman said. “Now the delivery goes to Washu Hakubi. She will take care of the rest when you get there and you can have all the fun you want after that,” Mutsuki said. They decide then to accept their delivery job and walk out of the restaurant. “And one more note for you Mr. Akabane, you are going to be our second vote for this round of the Anime Draft.” So the seventh round votes go to Haruka Suzumiya (KimiNozo/Rumbling Hearts) and Kuroudo “Dr. Jackal” Akabane (GetBackers).
Akabane and Himiko arrive at the bar and ask the bartender if Washu Hakubi is inside the bar. No sooner than they finish talking to the bartender, Washu shows up in front of them. “I’m Washu Hakubi,” she replied. “Mutsuki called me and told me you have our desserts from Sky Temple, correct.” Himiko replies, “Yes, we do. Here you go.” “And now for the fun time that we promised you. A couple of guys that run a recovery service are sitting over there. I think you know who they are,” Washu told Akabane. “I think I’ll go and see them. I need to get them back for defeating me last time,” Akabane said. “Just make sure to take it out on them outside,” Washu said. Washu then brings the desserts over to the group’s table and everyone is happy to have something to snack on with their beers. Misato just got the results from Washu’s round. While Washu did not win the round, she still did all right. “You did better than Becky, so let’s drink up,” Misato said.

This round, without a doubt, has been my hardest round yet. Shuichi being in it means he has one of my votes, hands down. But then it comes down to both Kaworu and Yuki. I love both of those characters, but I chose to play series favorites. Kaworu is my favorite character in Eva, whereas in the Furuba universe, Yuki is beaten out by Ayame, so my other vote is Kaworu's.

Voted for Dio and Kaworu. I kind of wanted to vote for Shinku, but if I did, it would be more because of the series she's from than her character, so I decided against it. If it were Sou-chan, on the other hand...

SHINKU!!! Vote Shinku! ;) I really loved how her character developed in Rozen Maiden and is a big reason why I'm really looking forward to Geneon's release of Rozen Maiden. I'm very happy to have her on my draft team this year.
And my second vote went to Haruka Suzumiya, who I also thought was a character who was developed well too. She is sweet and adorable, yet she is also character who copes very well with a difficult situation. This just only makes her more beautiful in my opinion - glad she got far in the moe contest.

For this round, I went with Ami (aka Sailor Mercury) and Yomi.

Holy shit this round is almost impossible to pick. Why? Because I've only seen a hand full of the shows and of them all the the characters presented here are my least favorite of them.
So I will cast my fem-vote to Sailor Mercury (oh why couldn't you be Venus or Mars  ) and my man-vote will go to Sohma Yuki (I can believe I'm voting for that damn rat  ).
It is indeed a dark day in my little world. :sigh:

My votes:
Rosette Christopher (Chrono Crusade)
Yayoi Matsunaga (Nightwalker)
Remember, a vote for Yayoi means fewer nightbreeds in your neighborhood. ;) Vote for Yayoi!
I decided to pick Talho Yuki (Eureka Seven) and Ulquiorra (Bleach) for my two picks for this round, because it's most likely that these characters won't get much love in this round.

03-09-2007, 05:52 AM
Haruka Suzumiya (Rumbling Hearts)
Raquel Casull (Scrapped Princess)
Rosette Christopher (Chrono Crusade)
Shinku (Rosen Maiden)
Yomi Mizuhara (Azumanga Daioh)
Honestly, if this were one of the other rounds, few of these would have made my shortlist. This is just a weaker round overall. I guess I'm not going to analyze this one too much, I'm just going to make a snap decision and go with Rosette and Yomi.

Why does Kaworu need to go? I rather have him on my team than that wimp Shinji Ikari. :sd:
Anyway, my votes went to Kaworu and Himeko. MAHO!

He wants to screw Shinji.
And Shinji sucks just as bad. "*cries* FATHER! How dare you give me a giant robot! I thought you didn't want me!" Go slit your damn arm already. Remember, down the road, not across the street.
Asuka deserves better.

Not sure why that's a spoiler, unless you're talking about the Angelic Days manga and considering the movie, I don't think she has a choice in the matter...^_^
And very good reasoning for why you hate Kaoru. Yeah. Very. *note - sarcasm* Not that I'm a yaoi fan, but considering what happens to Kaoru and what he is, does it even matter? Geez...
*
Anyway, mini-rant over. My picks are for the intellectual that apparently must all go because she is sweet, cute, smart, the sane one of the senshi and also the most uninentional funny one of them in Sailor Mercury and also my own pick of Yomi. (With Jackal nearly getting there as well...who must also be hated because going on the above logic he wants to screw both Ginji and Ban... :sd: )

and of course, vote #2 goes to YOMI!

Azu seems to be dominating again.
Oh well. This round, I didn't pick my character so I'm going to start packing right now so I don't become target practice....
A note flutters naming the two votes:
Shuichi Shindo
Akabane

This one is also relatively easy for me. I picked Batou & Shinku right off the bat, because watching both characters on the screen always puts a smile on my face. :)

Wow another impressive win, the Azumanga girls are still going strong, but what happened to the Gravitation character?
Congrats Coach Spirt! When you took Yomi, did you think she could keep up the success that Azumanga Daioh girls traditionally have had in the past? Were you expecting to win?

but what happened to the Gravitation character?
I'm a little surprised about that myself. I guess it just fell to the wayside, although it would be interesting to see if another series is picking up the slack... now lemme go make round 9! :P

Doesn't seem like there's much love for Shinku and Haruka. :( Ah well...
What I'm surprised about is that Haruka did worse for me than Mika-sensei did last round (which was bad enough, and I knew Mika was one of my weakest characters from the start). I thought that she would have at least fared better than her (and possibly Mizuho). :(

Wow and wow again! My first win in the draft, yay!
Yes, I was hoping the Azu faithful would bring me to the top, though didn't expect first place because always felt Yomi wasn't as popular as the other girls. How glad I'm wrong!!! :)
And thanks for everyone who congratrulated me - and it was a good top 3 as well with Rosette and Ami (and Jackal fourth as well) so this round was pretty good...O.K, onto round 9!!!

Thank you to all those who voted for Sister Rosette!
There are wild celebrations in the Laputian camp, as Rosette is literally one of the last standing in this round!
"I can hardly believe it..." said the floating island, as Rosette walked off the battlefield. "After my recent run of bad luck, I was thinking we would be going down fighting. But this has given us hope..." "Hahahaha! It's thanks to my skills, and the divine grace of God, that we're in with a chance!" laughed Rosette. "Hope?.." said Kraehe, as she moved to escort Rosette back to her team area, "Certainly, we need some of that right now... Arika really let us down." Laputa replied, "Now, now... Let's not quarrel too soon. Bring the matter up again during the post-game feedback period."
And congratulations go to Spirit!
