I wonder if anyone on these boards are going? The only person I remember that's close by is Zhen Li, but I think (s)he's stationed in Iraq(?). I haven't frequent these boards as much the last few years. BTW I'll be there the whole weekend. I'm still deciding on ACEN.

Edit: Oh great, I think Jim Lazar deleted my avatar (after all these years lol)

FYI - The name is Zhen Ji and I'm a girl (at least last time I checked). :P Oh I've been back from Iraq for over a year. I'm getting ready to go again :P :P

I might stop by this weekend...We'll see if the fancy strikes

What's going to happen at this thing? I've never been to a con of any sort before.

Lol, yeah I knew I was close and I somewhat remembered that you were a girl but it was a blur. I practically stopped going here often for 2 years in a row.

The weekend was amusing to me. The first day was really shaky. Because after we got our badges in the morning (the very first ones!) my friend got drunk nonstop at 10am and then around 4pm he broke his hand and security was after him. There were reports of him harassing con-goers and scaring security.

They came to our room looking for him after he had been drinking more alcohol. They had security guards escort him out. Then 10 minutes later we found out that he went loosecannon and escaped (mind you he's still drunk, has a broken hand, escorted with 5 security guards, while the hallways of the hotel were narrow and full of con-goers). Everyone in the room still couldn't figure out how he escaped in that condition.

The manhunt ended because he finally left the premises on his own will.

Overall it was a cool weekend. I was mostly in the gaming and dealer's room.
